Remarks

College should give equal rights to girls as it is given to boys. Girls dont get to compete in other colleges in terms of sports thats the bad thing about my college.

Entrance Preview

Since it is away from the main city thereby it makes the area peaceful as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Moreover, it has multiple departments. And this university was my second choice to study in the northeast cause but, I wanted to study MBBS but couldn't qualify so I came here.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Biotechnology is a very good course in the research sector if one studies well and achieves good marks. But I personally feel that biotechnology isn't that famous in the northeast, neither have I seen anyone getting any placement after bachelors. As a whole biotechnology is a very interesting subject.

Internships Opportunities

Our course has no internship. I dont know about the rest. Companies like Indigo, bata, Flipkart, Narayana hospital, united colors of Benetton.

Placement Experience

2.5

Students from other departments do get placed but I haven't till now seen anyone getting placed from biotechnology department. Very few students apply for placements and those who apply they do go through. From the hotel management, many of them got placed in radission blu I guess some as back office and some as a receptionist and there is some other post as well.

College Events

2.5

Varsity week we have debate, extempore speech, dance competition, cricket tournament, basketball tournament, kabaddi, etc ATTITUDE wherein we have lots of activities like rockathon, campus princess, open mike, dance battle, paintball, etc. Cricket league. Badminton league.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is kinda okay, since it is a private college the amount is quite okay. I dont know about other courses, but courses kike engineering might be high. But in terms of my course my coursd has six semesters and each semester a student has to pay an amount of 30,000. So total in a year both the semesters it is 60,000.

Fees and Financial Aid

One is the BPL, if you have BPL card you cab study here in free of cost. And there is something called "Lamsampay" where you pay the fees for the whole course and you get like something 50% or 80% discount.

Campus Life

3

There are very less cultural programms. Our college is kinda narrow minded when it comes to LGBT community, people talk about them and hence they face a lot of intolerance. We somehow managed to organise this campaign but failed to interact with the majority of students because our college doesnt think this to be sensitive.

Alumni/Alumna

We first have the ice breaking session byt there is no continous ragging at all. Our seniors are really good. Now we share a really strong bond.

Exam Structure

Exams only the theory part it is hectic if you did not study well and dont know the answer. Questions depend upon the teacher to teacher. Some set direct question paper and some indirect question paper. Lab exams are usually chilled and fun. Students do not get tensed during practical as it is all a matter of teamwork but yes during viva we all need to be prepared for the worst-case scenario.

Admission

I came to know about this institute through an edu fair. I liked the college so I finally took the admission by paying 10,000 there itself the admission fees. And then next again I came here in this college and again paid some amount thereby fully taking the admission.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members at my college are really very nice. They are like our family, they give us life and career advice. They work really hard to make us understand those concepts which we fail to understand. Moreover, whenever we go to them with our doubts they smile and make us understand really well. They make us comfortable to clear our doubts, instead of being shy and scared.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was a Science student, but I almost failed in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in my Higher Secondary Final Exam. I had a keen interest in life science. So I selected Zoology and Botany as my Major and Minor Subjects. I love Animals and plants and always wanted to learn much more about them. So, I chose this subject and I scored almost 9 CGPA in 1st year. That boosted my confidence and I just can't wait to explore this world of Zoology and Botany more. After choosing these subjects we got to do many field studies. There are 3 main exams in each semester - 2 sessional and 1 final. The difficulty level is based on how you've prepared yourself for the exam.
