The True Experience

This course i.e., B.Sc(H) Computer Science is a very demanding course from DU because it's like B.Tech and the best thing about this course is it does not block you to one fields. It gives you the exposure to every field of IT like AI,ML, DSA, Discrete Mathematics, etc. The end sem exams take about 1 month to complete.

There are many internship opportunities in our college even from 1st semester in different domains like consultancy, content writing,etc with stipened varying from unpaid to 15000 per month. Vishalakshi foundation, bizgurukul, etc came this month and a lot of internship offers comes.

My college placememt is little lower as compared to other north campus colleges of DU. The main reason I think so is because of 50% reservation for Sikh students. Most of them just don't want to study and only focus on wasting time roaming here and there and busy in their own works. Due to this our average package decreases. But the highest package offered in our course is 24LPA last year with an average of 5-7 LPA.

The fee for this course is Rs. 30,280. It has been raised 2 years ago and according to my knowledge it is not going to be changed in the upcoming years. There may be some little bit increment but there will not be a vast increase/hike in the tution fee. All the economically weaker students of our college get an opportunity to apply for scholarship to get some of their college fees returned to them. The procedure for this:- 1) You have to apply offline when the form gets out with all the necessary documents attached. 2) Then there will a PI 3) And according to the PI you'll get some amount of your tution fee ranging betweek 40-100% will be sent to your account.

The campus life in my college is very good. I like it personally very much. It gives you all the exposure which you can expect from the college as a freshers. There is also annual fest in our college. You'll get almost every book related to your course and some extra books for the detailed knowledge. The teaching and non-teaching staffs are also very supportive. In our course there is projectors in our classroom which is very much helpful to understand concepts. Our college ground is the biggest ground of DU. All the sports person puts our college as their first priority in DU.

The admission process begins with the CUET ecam. All the aspirants who want to take admission in DU colleges have to give this exam with at least 3 domains and 1 language paper. After giving the CUET exam the aspirant has to fill the admission form in CSAS portal(the admission portal of DU). It is easily available on the internet or you may search in Google for the CSAS portal. As my college i.e. SGTB Khalsa College is a sikh minority college so there is a 50% reservation for the sikh students and the remaining 50% seats are for general quota students no reservation for any OBC/SC/ST students. The exam was average not easy but not very much hard. If you've given sufficient amount of time then you must get admission.
