Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum preparation was good in IIT or NIT.The Curriculum preparation was not only applicable in classroom even the further academic pursuits.Professor are very good in IIT or NIT. There was many research field in IIT or NIT.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees was not so high for MSc in IIT or NIT.There are many scholarship is there , If you have any category certificate you tution fees is very low rather than General students. Financial aid is also their.

Campus Life

Campus life was good, making new friends in the collge is fun . There are many Club is there like Music club , dance club , Drawing club, sports club etc. Library is there with good amount of books. Cultural fest or techno fest was also organised in collge.

Admission

For taking admission in MSc program in IIT's or NIT's you have to qualify IIT JAM Exam . IIT JAM Exam was not so touch like JEE Advance but you have to knowledge in your own subject. If you dream to go to IIT or NIT but you didn't qualify the JEE MAIN or ADVANCE, IIT JAM Exam give you change to go IIT or NIT. Minimum creation is you have to qualify your Bsc with minimum 6.5 cgpa .

My lovely university University of science and technology Meghalaya.

Likes

Environment was so faculty was so helpful
There were lots of activities except learning which help us to improve our skills
Our classmates are also very friendly they help us in various works like project making for field trip etc .

Dislikes

There are some strict rules also which sometimes disturbed us .
The communication system was also poor in that days but may be it will be good now a days.
We get very short time of vacation during the study period which disappoint us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love animal science so I choose zoology .Yes it's help me to prepare for real world. Now a days practical works are most important than theoretical knowledge so every curriculum should give importance in practical knowledge.

This is already a best college already I said
The most beautiful campus I have ever seen I love the geen environment of our campus
The faculty members are very expert the are the store house of knowledge

As a student here I'm saying we have spent our whole in university wake up for university and come back after Sun set
The area of our campus is very vast and not plane because it a hilly area
Don't like the rudeness of our lady lab assistant

Their are so many extra curriculum activities influence in our university the method are very good. My course have so many scopes regarding teaching , environmental officer, forest service, scientific research, marine biologist and so many other opportunities.

First of all i want say that the university that is USTM is the best private university in the North east.the view of this university is very beautiful and the environment is so good
Secondly the teacher.they are very sincere and take our classes sincerely and guide us like their children.
Lastly the students and the faculty members and the workers all are very clean an maintain their heigene

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is good. There are projector,smart board and smart class room all are present.Horse riding is also there. research centre is also there. Cow house.chicken farm all this things are present. Fashion, modelling everything is held dance competition an all.

Review of my academic life

Likes

The infrastructure is very well. The campus is huge and has large area for sports activities.
The faculties are helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is quite nice for study.
Our department has its own museum and a pond which I like very much.

Dislikes

The classes are burdensome as it starts from 9 to 4.
No free classes for extra curricular activities.
The fees are a bit too high. It will be helpful if it is lowered a bit.

The curriculum is well programmed. The faculties are highly qualified and well trained. The teaching methods are precisely achieved. The teachers teach in a such a way that it helps us to face real-world situations and apply the methods taught to us.

Likes

The ambiance of the college and its location.
The teachers and their helping nature in all case
The laboratory and the hostel facilities

Dislikes

The hostel fees and college fees which is too much

Placement Experience:

The placement drive begins for students from their second year of college. Companies like HDFC, TATA, Flipkart etc came to our college Around 5-10% students get placement every year After my degree i plan to go into the reseach field by cracking the CSIR NET exam.

Likes

The university campus is quite big and it's full of trees and nature .
The faculty of my department is very friendly and they provide individual interest to our problems
The university provides high level machines for biotechnology department

Dislikes

The syllabus is quite huge and time is very less to complete the whole syllabus thoroughly
The quality of canteen food is poor and should be improved
The hostel area is very horrifying during night , there should be lights every corner

Course Curriculum Overview:

MSc in biotechnology and bioinformatics is quite a difficult subject and the syllabus is very huge to complete in few months . Also this subject includes a lot of practical work which are so time consuming. Practicals are more interesting than theory paper. The curriculum prepares us moderately for real world applications. The syllabus should be divided properly among the semesters so that no burden is on a student. The teachers should teach the subject with more practical than theory based. Some semesters donot almost lasts for 6 months . They are less than 6 months and then exam approaches which is very difficult for students to cope up with.

My Honest Review

Likes

I like the faculties. They are always ready to help us. Their teaching is also clear and understandable. I also like the Aurora and the Convocation the way it used to be hosted and organized.
I also like the fact that there’s an active Student Council, Deans and Influencer which indeed makes the University more lively and interesting.
I also like how the University are always ready to help the students whether be it financially, Academic or Mental healthcare.

Dislikes

Honestly, I would like if the University has more open campus.
That there is two campus. No grab and Umsauli. We did it get to see and know each other as we are in different campus.
The canteen is too up. It would be better if we can get the canteen in the ground floor.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First, I was interested in my course i,e Counselling psychology since my class X. I took up psychology in my XI and XII but as my State Manipur does not offer Psychology that time, I couldn't continue in my bachelor. So, I ended up taking English. Even during those, whenever psychology things pop up in a paper or media, it drews my full attention to it. That interest makes me got letter marks in my class XII as well. The first reason I took up this course was, because I want to help people. Seeing lots of generational trauma that affects the up coming children, mental well being of people makes me want to change the world. I got a whole lot of sympathy and burden in my heart. Secondly, I want to know myself more. Taking this course makes more aware of myself, how to stand up for myself, understand people more. I did not regret taking this course. I'm fully content about my decision.

Life at NIT MEGHALAYA

Remarks:

The college is good. But as it is in the temporary campus there are lots of hardships. But the faculties are good and they help as much as they can. But labs are small so not an ideal place to come for research works.

So as I tell this a government college particularly NIT so admission in this is done by giving a exam called JEE which is conducted by NTA twice in a year most commonly in January and April So after getting a good percentile in this JEE exam you are all ready for conselling done by JOSSA and CSAB Admission are done in these college according to your percentile and All India ranks The eligibility for this exam is you need to be 12 th pass with any recognised Baoard with 75% Cutoff for this exam you can find on inemternet as this a very popular exams given by 15Lac student every year and only 50thouasand student able to get seat So in counselling you have to fill colleges of tour choice and the counselling system allot you a college according to your performance in JEE exam I have fill some other nits like NIT GOA NIT JAIPUR NIT HAMIRPUR NIT NAGPUR but these are the college I didn't get because of my rank in jee exam All went that wrong is my preparation for the exam ???? NIT Meghalaya is a decent institute as par as studies are concerned. You will have ample of chance to study and learn new stuffs, being a new institute you get a lot of stuffs and initiatives to be done and handled single handy which gives another chance not only to learn and showcase your skills but also to use it in future for organizing similar stuffs in future.Being a MeghNITe , it was always a cutting edge for me in interviews and people used to literally appreciate the exposure I had even from being a remote located college of India ( though it was not pretty different to what a normal NITian would had in other NIT).If you do same thing in limited resources to what your competitor does with ample of resources, even having same outcome its more likely to get appreciated and this is what happens when you are studying at new NIT.Coming to infrastructure : NIT M has decent labs ( comparable to even many of old IITs ) ,mix of youth ,energetic and quite experienced pool of faculties , prime location and technically sound students as college.I would suggest to go ahead with decision and consider it a fair Chance to study at NITM (Provided you do not have any better option)....Read More
