NIT DURGAPUR fully reviewed .

I was allotted to the Mechanical Branch By JOSAA. The Faculty here I can assure some of the best from all other Nits. All the faculties are highly qualified, All of them have done there higher studies in IITs, NIT's and some of them have studied abroad also. Their teaching methods are fabulous, they help the students if they have any problems or other queries. The exams are held perfectly in the academic session, the session is generally 5 months long for per semester. The exams have good questions, and the questions were made by thinking for all of the students, the exam also got fine questions.

The Companies like intel, AMD,Qualcomm, Bosch came for Internship and gave internships to 20 students. The internships are well paid and every year many students apply for the internships and mainly from the 2nd year or 3 rd year the students get internships

The campus placements are good cmpared to other NITs. All the FANG companies comes to our campus. the highest package last year was 50 lpa, The average package is 12 lpa which is a pretty decent number. Maximum students gets placed.in 2021_22 579 B. Tech students got placed. I also want to be in one of those FANG companies after my degree.

For the general Catagory, the fee for the 1st year is 195800rs. Then for 4 years, it stands at 4*195800=783200rs. If any family has got family income of less than 2 lakh then The college cuts the tuition fees. For the SC, ST, Category 1st year fees are 71000rs. Then for years, it stands to be around 3.6lakh including mess fees. there are many opportunities for scholarships, and the college also has its bank which lends student loans at a very low interest rate. Jobs on campus are very good. Many big companies like Google, Facebook, and other FANG companies come to our college every year. There are also opportunities for internships.

Infrastructure: Our Hostel 24*7 electricity and water available , There are four water purifier in each floor , Our hostel is of 6 floors. It has four lifts . Wifi is also there but the speed is very poor. Our academic section is fully air conditioned and their are individual benches and well furnished rooms with digital projector and speakers . Library: There is a huge collection of books in every topic in our Central Library , Library opens at 8:00 am and closes at 9:00pm. there are books from UPSC, GATE and studies of individual subject there are many reading rooms with wifi and AC in each rooms. the systems are well organized. FEST: There are many fest like RECSTASY, AROHAAN , FOOD FEST and all other club fests quizzes , workshops every thing one can think of. Sprots: Sports curriculum in nit durgapur is fine here students play basketball hosckey, football, cricket,table tennis, bad minton etc.There is a student association activity centre also. Social Groups : EDC,SPIC MACAYetc

All the rooms consist of three almirahs, three bed, three tables, two fans, and ample amount of space and night lamps. The rooms have 24*7 electricity. Mess timing is accurate, but the food is below average, The menu looks good but the taste is not there, we have a special dinner on Wednesdays . Affordability is fine and the rooms are pretty good, the toilets are cleaned daily, and there are Geysers in every bathroom. the mess fees are also reasonable but the food quality can be much better.

I have given the JEE MAINS Examination in 2023. I secured 91 percentile marks in JEE MAINS. I got allotted NIT DURGAPUR BY JOSAA Counselling. The admission process was quite smooth and well organized both in online and offline mode. I goy Mechanical Engineering in the nit durgapur.I love this college you need to qualify for jee mains and secure a decent rank to get into this college. I was from SC reservation so I got my branch . Reservation just gives you a less cutoff
