The application process was smooth. The eligibility criteria is to give JEE MAINS exam and score some particular amount of marks which changes every year and after that through the JOSAA counseling college is alloted
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose ECE because I liked semiconductors and other related things from class 12. Faculty student ratio is also good. The teachers are always ready to help the students and provide study materials regularly. All the teachers are highly qualified and have good teaching method. Some prefer to teach through chalk and board whereas other teach through ppts. Term exams are held regularly as specified in the academic calender and were of moderate difficult.
Internships Opportunities
The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (NIT Durgapur) offers an online summer internship program for students in biotechnology, bio-sciences, bio-informatics, and related subjects. To be eligible, students must have a minimum of 60% marks at the graduate or postgraduate level. BioTech Times In 2022, Microsoft made the most internship offers to students during the summer internship placement drive at NIT Durgapur. Other recruiters included Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, and Bajaj.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit the college and provide good offers to students. The highest package last year was 70lpa. Near about 80 to 85% of the students sitting in placements are hired for the job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure is decent. There are many scholarship opportunities for deserving students. This college offers jobs to every deserving candidates. Many internship are also provided which help the students to get an overall experience of the industry.
Campus Life
There are many fests held in this college. The largest being Aarohan held in March. Library is large and contains all sorts of books and journals. The study rooms in library are also quite spacious and air conditioned. Classrooms are large and have a capacity of near about 250 students. Each classrooms have projector and big blackboards and are well air conditioned.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are decent. Necessary facilities like fans, almirahs, table, chair, bed. Washrooms are also big and cleaned everyday. Regular cleaning and proper hygiene are always maintained in the hostel. Mess food is of decent quality and menu is also quite decent.
