Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen mechanical engineering because it is one of the most important engineering trades in the recent generation and I also wanted to become a mechanical engineer from my childhood. The faculty members of our college are one of the best. All the faculty members are graduates from IITs or NIITs. They teach us with great care. In our college, there are two semesters with a six-month gap between them.
Internships Opportunities
From the second year, the students get opportunities for internships. Companies like L&T, Ashok Leyland, and Indian Railways provide internships to the students of mechanical engineering department. The minimum amount of stipend a student gets is 12000 which may also increase. The Companies give us tasks related to their job and the outcome helps us to get better jobs in the best Companies in the near future.
Placement Experience
From 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Several multinational and it sector companies visit our college and have offered many jobs to the students. Companies like L&T, Mercedes, TCS, wipers, and Volvo have visited our college. The highest package from our college is about 12LPA and the average package is around 4LPA. Almost 100% of students got placed. After getting my degree my plan is to get a job from campus interview at a multinational company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is much less as compared to other colleges. The. cost of the study is affordable. Our college provides scholarship facilities to each and every student. Other than this our college provides the best jobs and internship facilities with a stipend.
Campus Life
There are many cultural, sports and tech clubs in our college which encourage the students to display their talents in front of everybody. Our sports club has recently performed an inter-college cricket tournament, where our college has become the champion.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility in our college is very good. It strictly restricts ragging inside the hostel. The quality of the food is very good and the menu consists of bread butter/jam, idli or upma, or sometimes puri sabzi, in lunch we complete thali consisting of either nonveg thali or veg thali. At dinner also we have the same veg or nonveg thali.
Admission
I opted for the wbjee entrance exam and got a 35000 rank. In counseling, l opted for mechanical engineering at Coochbehar Government Engineering College. In the first round, I couldn't get the above college but in the second round, I got enlisted in this college. It is one of the best engineering colleges in West Bengal.
