MAIT, B.Tech (I.T)

Reviewed on Nov 15, 2015

Remarks

The college life is bit boring just because they aren't much big playgrouds and on the remote location of college. There are not much to look into.Otherwise college is great with so much fun and immense great crowd.

Entrance Preview

IIT- (Not Selected)AIEEE- 27000 rank so did not get a good college.BITS- 247 MARKS( NOT ELIGIBLE), IPU 3354 CET rank. Got MAIT(ONE OF THE BEST COLLEGE OF IPU).

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship from DUCAT, NOIDA after my 2nd year of college, UEMINDIA after my 3rd year of college. Taken various outside academic courses like ETHICAL HACKING and PHP which provides me the benifit.

Placement Experience

Altogather till now 20+ companies have visited my campus. The first company to visit campus was VINSOL followed by INFOSYS. ACENTURE, NAGARO and many more. The highest package offered. Till now was 12 lakhs by ZIMPLY followed by PAYU as 8.25 lakhs.

College Events

Many events are celebrated by our college during an academic year. Sports day, technical and cultural fest- (TECHSURGE AND MRIDANG) Hawan pooja - For inaugration of academic session.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The university fees for 1st year is RS 40,000 and college is RS 57,250. Whereas form 2nd year the university fees corresponds to RS 10,000 whereas the college fees is RS 87,250. The overall fees for all entire year is fixed as RS 97,250.

Fees and Financial Aid

College doesn't focusses directly on this part since the university has a EWS( ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTION) scheme where it provides discount on fees money to meritorious and poor students which help them gain motivation and excel without thinking much of the money.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni and present student network is not so strong uptill now but there are various programs started by various communities of college to develop this understanding and maintain a healthy network between the alumni and present college students.

Exam Structure

There are two internal exams taken along side an internal practical internals are of 30 marks each whereas internal practical is of 40 marks external exams are of 75 marks where as external practical as 60 marks.

My experience studying at NSIT

Likes

Placement was among the best and most the top companies visited
Infrastructure was appreciable with no major shortage of laboratories
Senior-Junior interaction compensated the average faculty

Dislikes

Outdated curriculum negatively impacted the conceptual clarity
Too difficult to secure good grades due to strict marking
Mediocre support provided to student led initiative

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was evidently outdated and irrelevant to modern engineering challenges and could have severely disadvantaged students' learning outcomes. Although, interaction with seniors compensated this.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
