Remarks

In Category of General, you require atleast 90% and 85% in SC/ST/OBC, in the first cut off list. This is going to change however, from next session since now Satyawati DU will take Entrance exams from 2022. You can find admission forms at reception or on Satyawati's website. There is no form fee . Reservation benefit: You'll need 85% atleast, in first cut off list if you have reservation benefits. The admission process was a bit chaotic. Could've been more Streamlined.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Political BA (Hons) have an amazing placement cell as well as the fact that i had interest in pursuing this course as it prepped me for UPSC exams. Student strength was 50 in my Section. However, anywhere from 25-35 students would be present at any time. The faculty, is surprisingly quite decent given the shape of the campus. Most of the professors helped out in any way, shape or form they could. There were 2 sorts of "tests" each semester. One would be your internals, where you would give some sort of presentation, the other being the exam of the semester, which would be checked by other professors (of other College) If you pass the Internals, you could still fail the semester if you did poorly in written exam. But if you pass with average marks on Written exam, you can ditch the internal assessment

Internships Opportunities

5

Clavis Technologies, stipend of 30,000 per month There isn't much going on at the moment because of Covid restrictions, everything is Work From Home and i would update my review as soon as offices open.

Placement Experience

4

5 semseter student are eligible for campus placements. I just visited 1 company and BOOM, landed a job. Number of offers: 17 Highest package was 5 lakh, lowest being 3 lakh, on an average everyone mostly offered 3.5 to 4 lakhs. 89% students got placement. I'm planning to appear for CAT and get admission in some big Business School

Fees and Financial Aid

No fee hike, and the cost to study is surprisingly low to any other DU college which offers Pol Science Hons. I got an internship at "CLAVIS TECHNOLOGY" for 6 months. Even though my final average score was quite low

Campus Life

5

You had Kho-kho and cricket as option in sports. Mostly kho kho being the more popular on Campus, but cricket being more popular among Staff AND students as well. There are numerous websites and social groups and I'd exceed the amount of words i can type. There are various clubs. Art club for artist, the drama club, sports club, music club for musicians, dance club there's also many social awareness clubs. Each one of them were unique, but personally for me non piqued my interest.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There were 2 bed in one room. Plenty of spaced in the hostel rooms. Weirdly enough we were given televisions but getting a cable connection was not allowed. What am I supposed to watch? Blank screen? Meal was 5/10 at most. Register for hostel by going to Reception, ask for Sunil Sir, he'll hook you up. The accommodation was provided by college

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.
