Eligibility of this course - You should have studied at least 4 papers of mathematics, statistics, or operational research to apply for the entrance exam. Admission is on an entrance basis only. You can find the admission form on the DU website. As covid time is going on, it's difficult to predict any date or month of the admission process. Generally, it's around March-April. And entrance exam is conducted in May-June.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's an interdisciplinary course and it's based on practical aspects more than theoretical aspects, which makes students more industry-ready for roles such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, OR Scientist, etc. Around 150 students get admission, and they are divided into 3 sections. so the faculty: student ratio is around 1:50. The faculty here are good, and they also have good knowledge about the skills we will be needed for our career. They are well qualified. Exams are not that difficult, you can easily pass.

Companies that came here offering internship opportunities, Gartner - Research/Business Analyst, Moody Analytics, Max Life Insurance - AI-related, Thoroughgood. Our placement cell, help us in making our projects, as it's more beneficial than an internship during interviews.
Placement Experience
Companies come for placement during the 3rd semester. Our placement cell does so much hard work to attract companies. Some of the past recruiters were Cognizant, E&Y, Gartner, Max Life Insurance, etc., and around 101 students are placed with an average package of 8 Lakh/annum. The highest Package was 18-20 Lakh/Annum and the lowest was 4-5 Lakh/Annum. My plan is to go for placement here.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are around 14k, which can be afforded by a middle-class family like us. Last year around 101 students were placed with an average package of 8 Lakh/annum which is a decent package. And internship opportunities are also provided by our Placement Cell- Zenith.
Campus Life
Books which will be needed for the syllabus will be easily available in libraries. As I am a first-year student and have only attended online classes till now, I don't have much idea about classrooms. No such extracurricular activities, but workshops related to data science and placements are conducted. The Alumni cells organize those workshops.
