Internships Opportunities

It provides us with a 6 month internship at the hospital but it is without pay. Nowadays Campus placements are also there.

Placement Experience

4

Majority of the students are placed in many esteemed organisations in and around Guwahati and outside North East too with good salary packages and added perks.

College Events

5

We celebrate our Annual Varsity week where lots of activities from indoor games and outdoor games are carried out.Cultural evening is also there and a beauty of Mr. & Ms. Assam Downtown University is the main highlight. Apart from that other events are also conducted.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed the toppers Scholarship which they offer to the department toppers.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels buildings are separate for boys and girls.Seats are there but due to the increasing demands the students are entertained on first come first serve basis. Therefore students have to search for rents and P.G's too near the campus which one may find according to needs.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted on yearly basis. But regular tests, mocktests and assignments of all sorts and camps and community visits are carried out.

Admission

When i saw the advertisement in the newspaper about this university i was delighted as it is the first one of a kind university in the Northeast with so many courses. So I just came down to Guwahati at their information office in the Downtown Hospitals Pvt. Ltd and enquired everYthing. After that i took admission in my Course i.e., Bachelors in Food Nutrition & Dietetics which is a 3 years degree course.

Faculty

5

All the Faculty are highly educated and experienced. So the students are under the right care.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was a Science student, but I almost failed in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths in my Higher Secondary Final Exam. I had a keen interest in life science. So I selected Zoology and Botany as my Major and Minor Subjects. I love Animals and plants and always wanted to learn much more about them. So, I chose this subject and I scored almost 9 CGPA in 1st year. That boosted my confidence and I just can't wait to explore this world of Zoology and Botany more. After choosing these subjects we got to do many field studies. There are 3 main exams in each semester - 2 sessional and 1 final. The difficulty level is based on how you've prepared yourself for the exam.
