Remarks

The college is excellent in terms of its education system, i always wanted to study with B.A(hons.) in sanskrit and no doubt Dewanhat Mahavidyalaya was the best option for it. And being near to my home place was anyway the major reason for opting Dewanhat Mahavidyalaya.

Course Curriculum Overview

My curriculum was offered specialization under eight disciplines , certainly i opted hons. in sanskrit as i always wanted and my syllabus was of state level and also the updated version. Faculty members of our department were wonderful and friendly.

Course Fees: INR 8040 per year

Placement Experience

Currently our college do not function in terms of placement and internship , due to lack of job opportunities in our city Cooch behar, but however our teachers has always guided us to appear for other job opportunities off the campus

College Events

Our college have its own cultural fest where we students and faculties can participate and be a part of the leading team, awards and certificates are also given for the same. Apart from education we also had classes on various form of arts.

Campus Life

Our campus has all the basic infrastructure to meet individual's need like medical facilities, hostel facility, security. Hostel facility is also available in our college campus with inbuilt activity room for refreshment.

Admission

Admission was based on my 10+2 merit and marks obtained. I visited the college campus and filled out the application form and also submitted the required testimonials.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love computer science so I chose this department. The teaching in this department is very good and the labs are also very good. We have many exams in our semester.It would have been better if we had studied our theory paper a little better.
