Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is just like any other B.Com course however, the curriculum includes all the recent changes, if any. They also have a rigid examination structure and conduct frequent internals and practicals.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities at Birpara College, Alipurduar are really good. They collaborate with many companies throughout the year which happen to recruit students offering the most lucrative packages.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is highly justified if compared to the level of education imparted. The B.Com course costs around ?16,320 for the complete three year, on-campus, full time course. It is therefore, feasible and affordable.

Campus Life

There are several extracurricular activities organised by the college throughout the year to enable the holistic development of an individual and to allow them to learn new and different things besides their curriculum.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumnis of the college are very successful and happy in their lives. They try to visit us as much as possible and ensure that we are going on the right track and help us through their life changing experiences.

Admission

After completing my school, I decided to go for Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from Birpara College, Alipurduar. It has the easiest admission procedure and the administration is too helpful in case of discrepancy.

The faculty of the college is amazing and they have set the bar of education really high. They are always there to help us in any way possible and are indeed, the best group of teachers one could have asked for.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

I love computer science so I chose this department. The teaching in this department is very good and the labs are also very good. We have many exams in our semester.It would have been better if we had studied our theory paper a little better.
