Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

IIITM curriculum is designed in a manner to make effective use of information technology knowledge in business processes. We follow an interactive learning process and encourage innovative ideas from students. Candidates pursuing 5-year IPG course are exposed to NGO training after fourth semester. A 12-week summer intern-ship, an integral part of this institute's curriculum, helps students in establishing an interface with current generation industries. ABV-IIITM curriculum provides the necessary industrial exposure to its students which is essential for their grooming. As our programs are an effort in synchronising information technology trends with current generation business processes it is vital to offer the correct ambiance for our students. With an opportunity to interact with leading industries, learners of this institute get exposure to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. Peer-to-peer interaction is a crucial effort of this institute in its learning processes. Flexibility of study programs is another distinct advantage our learners enjoy. "The best thing about the course curriculum is that most of the non-core subjects are taught only in the first semester. From the second semester onwards almost all the subjects are core subjects besides one or two non-core subjects. The subjects in the curriculum are quite relevant. The subjects which was taught here were all Industry and Research relevant. So, there are two semester in one year odd and even respectively. In each semester there are two minor examination, two lab examination and one major examination. Minor examination is of 1 hr and lab exam is of 2 hr and major exam is of 2 hr. Sometime the day was hectic, Otherwise it was chilled.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-strutured and covers fundamental concepts in a clear and systematic manner. As a first-semester student I found the subjects helpful in building a strong base for futher studies. The syllabus balances theory with practical exposure which helps in understanding real-worls applications.Faculty members explain concept clearly, through adding more hands-on projects and industry-oriented topics would make the curriculum even better.Overall the curriculum is relevent comprehensive and suitable for beginners but it can be improved with more practical sessions and updated content aligned with current industry trends.

Placement Experience:

Placement in this college is quite good and it also depends on the grades of the students. Highest package goes to 14 lakhs per annum and the average package goes to 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. As the students enter into their 7th semester the placement process gets started and the students will go into th selected companies in their 8th semester and if the worked well their they can also get PPO which means that they can do their job for permanent time. Percentage of the students last time who got placed in big MNCs company goes to 87 percent and the rest students got their placement in some small company. My plan after my b tech degree is to get higher studies in Mtech by score a good mark in the GATE exam which is going to be held in February month.
