Course Curriculum Overview
IEM have Courses under B.tech CSE | IT | ECE | EE | MECHANICAL | EEE. If we talk about entrance exam (IEMJEE) then Syllabus and mode of the exam are absolutely same as that of JEE Mains comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics divided into 3 sections. Maths section will contain 60 questions each of 4 marks. Physics and Chemistry section will contain 30 questions each of 4 marks. Total marks will be 360.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunity is high. Because from our college the student get the high number of job offers. It's the best private engineering college in west Bengal, and it placed in 5 rank including government and private engineering colleges.
College Events
They organise Tech fest, cultural fest in every year, and in our college we have a small organisation known as 'Smile'. Smile does a lot of social work, we do social experiment, and also organise game fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
You have to pay 4 lakh in 4 years. Each semester you have to pay 50000. It's very much expensive for middle class and poor people. But i can say your 50000 will not go in vain, it's worth.Though fee structure is high, college provides opportunity to get loan from banks. Through different technical events anybody can earn money also as an award. Apart from all these things, there are so many scholarships available from government.
Fees and Financial Aid
There have no any such facility.do not personal have any experience about any good scholarship, or loan facility offered by our college that I know of or availed. But i am damm sure about the thing, that if anyone is facing any such problem, the college helps them through.
Admission
I got admission in IEM through WBJEE, my rank was 3904 and i got IT branch in IEM in 2nd round of counselling. So first of all Give wbjee and if you secure a decent rank( upto 5000 generally) then you can get into IEM. But if you want cse then try to keep your rank upto 2.0K, in case of ece around 4.5K will be safe. And for the other streams a rank around 4.5K will be more or less safe. Put your desired branch in IEM in the choice list of wbjee counselling portal.
Faculty
Since I am CSE department student so overall in my department the faculty members are academicians, professionals as well as dignitaries of the business world. Faculty consists of professors from renowned institutes such as IIT Kharagpur and IIM Kolkata.
