Remarks

The management should focus more on practical knowledge and research based education system rather than job oriented. They should keep more experience teachers and good well developed labs and practice to follow which leads to research oriented study.

Entrance Preview

I Got the admission through AIEEE. Got 210 marks in 2009 AIEEE entrance and all india rank AIR 19728. Have selected Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University because of its reputation and industry sponsored as reliance and GSPC as sponsored the college having Mukesh Ambani as chairman.

Course Curriculum Overview

As course curriculum is fine but less oriented towards research and more towards job. Have very experience faculty and as petroleum engineering is in less college it has higer demand and easy to get job.

Internships Opportunities

Have done internship with GSPC in reservoir. Companies like Haliburton, Slumberger,ONGC,GSPC,GUJARAT GAS,GSPL,JINDAL DRIILLING etc. Has came to campus. I have done my internship in well testing in reservoir with 15k as stipend.

Placement Experience

Job opportunity and placement is very good. Out of 240 students 180 are placed. Companies like Haliburton, slumberger,ONGC,GSPC,GAIL, GSPL, GITL, GIGL,Reliance, essar, Gujarat gas,Petronet etc. The offer varied from 15 lpa to 2.5 lpa. The average package was 4.5 lpa.

College Events

Flare is the technical and cultural festival. More then 50 college's participated. 50 lakh is the budget.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes i have got the merit scholarship throughout four year. Their is merit scholarship, merit cum means scholarship and means scholarship.

Campus Life

Very thing is fine expect girls ratio. Workshop of technical nature are organised always as robotic and related to petroleum and cultural society are there.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are well developed. Its on sharing basis two students in one room. The rental was 50k. Mess food is good and breakfast is best.

As only two batches have passed out before me i rate them as very supportive in study as well as making us learn different things apart from study. Like extra curriculum activities.

I am in my 7th semester and I was asked to apply. After beging rejected from two I was still provided the opportunity and in 4th attempt I finally made it. Likewise every student is provided ample chances and mostly in penultimate semester around 70% students are placed. Rest all get one final chance in the massive placements activity in the final semester.

The first batch of our course has not passed yet as it started in 2020 but the placements for mtech are pretty good as stipends are like median stipend is for 30k and highest was 1.5 lakh and highest salary was 63 lakh and median is 13 lakhs

The on campus placement is pretty good as compared to different colleges because the students getting place are comparatively higher on campus placements are also possible through this college but it's students generally of for the on campus placements and through the 7th semester you get placed in a company the company is visiting here are higher and lot of companies show interest in students but at times the placement cell looks very dull and percentage of students getting placements are comparatively higher than the other colleges and if anybody wants to up for higher studies then there is an option

Remarks:

I choose this course because in the future it has a lot of meaning and the depth is beyond limits. I'm still really involved in this course. The best thing about our course is that the industry never stops having a wide demand, and there are uncountable companies such as small, medium and MNCs providing job opportunities. The course could have a little more technical expertise, and it should be compulsory to have job experience including internships or technical training. Over the year, numerous activities take place at the college, each of which is a celebration and an opportunity to highlight your abilities and talents. A technological fest, a cultural fest, a sports fest, a DJ night, a Garba night, etc are held. The campus community is all acquainted with each other and enjoys all the festivals with each other. Connectivity is not a problem, and the college is situated in the centre of the city, accessible by any sort of public transport, such as city buses, cars and personal vehicles.
