Asutosh colllege is kolkata's one of the most famous college.

The college is good to enjoy college life. If someone is. Interested in smoking,politics and class bunking then the college is bet for them.and if someone looking for routined class and good disciplined college then its not for them. Over all it's a good and famous college. The advantage of this college is that students feels proud to be a student of this college.

I am under 1+1+1 part system. Its less number scoring. B.Sc course is very hard work under calcutta university. But college provides enough help to students. We need to give 3 final exams in 3 years. 200 marks in two years and 400 marks in last year. Now CBCS curiculum has started. It's much easier to score number.

Yea the college provides internship and placements are very good. Most of the students gets placed in all branches. Many job opportunitys are open for students. They have a separate placement cell for students.

Almost all events are celebrated. College fest, fresher's party, sports events, fun gaming singing band dancing debate quiz are conducted. All types of festivals are celebrated. Holi ,durgapuja, saraswati puja annual sport's etc.

Fees structure is normal. It varies upon departments. Science based subjects have higher fees structure because it has practical. But arts subjects has less fees structure. The fees i give is 6000 per year. In that i get ac class rooms. So it's ok.

Many scholarship and loans are available for sc st students and minority students. Nothing available for genaral caste students. It helps may students to continue study. I have not availed any scholarship form college.

The college is best at it's extracurricular activities because it has a very good sports background. The college has 2 big playgrounds. The captain of indian football team sunil chetri is a student of Asutosh college. Labs are well maintained.it is the most renowned college in kolkata for it's laboratory.

I haven't opted hostel because hostel of college is very far from college campus. But hostel infrastructure is good. It has 52 rooms in a very clean area. Fooding is available there. A big playground is also there.

Alumni nework and senior students are very helpful. But the want to join their political party union in terms of helping. Seniors help in many functions. In many study related things we get help. They don't do any kind of ragging.

At first the form needs to be filled up. Then merit list comes out after few weeks. Then we need to wait for our call for admission. According to seat vacancy we get admitted by merit list number.A amount of fees is needed to be deposited in college bank account. This whole process of admission takes 2 days. And there is so much corruption in admission process.

Facultys are good in most of the departments. But many departments are not so good. Many permanent professors are there and they are well qualified. But college office faculties and the non teaching staffs are very bad behaved , careless. They don't help students and not very qualified for this job. The librarians behaves with students improperly.
