How is life at IMT Ghaziabad and scopes after MBA in marketing?
The general campus life at IMT Ghaziabad is pretty hectic for first-year students. Right after you join, the Personality Development Program is conducted by the seniors. After this, the committee selection process begins. College life is extremely rigorous and includes fest management, mess, seniors placements, and internships. You have to manage and prioritize all such activities altogether. You learn to manage your time, face tight deadlines, and maintain your emotional stability throughout.

- Placements: IMT Ghaziabad placements are known to be the best in the Marketing sector. While many think that only freshers or people with less experience can get Marketing roles, it’s not true. It completely depends on the company offering the role. IMT provides you with lots of opportunities in sales and a few roles in core marketing, media & advertising, and digital marketing. IMT Ghaziabad is the best to kickstart a career in Marketing as it offers the best opportunities and has a strong alumni network.
- Fees: IMT Ghaziabad fee structure for PGDM, PGDM Marketing, PGDM Banking, and Financial Services and PGDM Finance is INR 19.38 lakhs.
- Hostel: IMT Ghaziabad has two hostels, one inside the campus and the other CDL, 4 km by walking distance. You can choose to stay at either during the first year but in the second year, you have to stay at the on-campus hostel only. CDL has much more freedom and better amenities like Air Conditioned rooms.
- Food: IMT Ghaziabad’s mess food is managed by the mess committee which is run by the students themselves. The quality of food is good but once in a while students get bored and ask for a change of the menu. The CDL students can come to the campus mess for the food.
- Prospects: Today the corporate world requires more from MBA graduates rather than specialization in certain fields. IT and Services are doing fairly well and are expected to do so in the future without much change. Analytics is in great demand and will continue to be in demand for at least 5-7 years

What is an MBA like at Andhra University?
Andhra University is a decent option for an MBA. It is well-recognized nationally and internationally. Although the infrastructure and facilities have room for improvement. Andhra University placements have been good over the recent years. Each year around 75% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered is around INR 5.8 LPA. TCS, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HPCL, etc. are among the major recruiters that take part in campus recruitment.
I got an MBA seat both in Hyderabad Central University and Gitam University Vizag. Which is better in terms of placements and faculty?
Among Hyderabad Central University (HCU) and GITAM University Vizag, it is suggested that you go for Hyderabad Central University.
- Studying at Hyderabad Central University will be a much safer option, considering academics and placements.
- Being a central university and entertaining politically affiliated student organizations on campus catches the attention of national media.
- The faculty is much more interactive here, and are more than willing to stay back after work if guidance is required.
- GITAM has better hostels than Hyderabad Central University.
- HCU has much lower fees compared to GITAM.
Lastly, placements majorly depend on the individual and not on the institution. So, if you work hard no matter the institution, you will definitely secure a good placement offer from a reputed company.
What is life like after an MBA from NITIE Mumbai?
My uncle had done his PGDIE from NITIE Mumbai, back in 1979. NITIE enhanced his knowledge and self confidence by a huge extent. This institution offers top notch placements, and a good alumni network. Some of my uncle’s seniors went on to become CEOs and high ranking professionals at reputed firms.
After graduating from NITIE, you’ll get plenty of opportunities. It is a well renowned college in India. However, a lot depends on your own hardwork and dedication. Try to make the most of your stay at this college.
How is Pondicherry University for an MBA in tourism?
The Department of Tourism Studies of the Pondicherry University offers an MBA in Tourism & Travel Management. It is one of the rarest courses in India and the course here is actually pretty good.
- You will have a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) where you can choose certain “Soft core” subjects offered by the department apart from the “Hard core” subjects which are compulsory for the course completion.
- There are mid semester, end semester as well as internal assessment exams.
- A 40:60 ratio weightage is given to the mid-semester and internal assessment exam to the end semester exam.
- You need to achieve at least 40% in the end semester and 50% on aggregate to pass the subject.
- The department organizes two tours each year; a 5-7 day, Eco-tour and a 10-15 days national tour.
- Apart from that there are various field visits during your coursework as well.

Overall I would say that it is a very good course with lots of practical knowledge and experience. The faculty are also knowledgeable and offer very good insights into the industry. The exposure and experience you will get here is really very nice.
How is Tezpur University for an MBA?
Other than IIM Shillong, Tezpur University is the only institute that uses CAT scores for admission in MBA. They also accept MAT scores. I have a few friends who attended TU for their MBA and according to them, it is a decent institute for pursuing your MBA.
A lot of recruiting companies visit the campus placements each year. In the last placement drive, the salary packages offered were in the range of 3.5-10 LPA. Major recruiting companies on TU are Wipro, HCL, ICICI, Axis Bank, etc.
How is MBA placement at Tezpur University?
I have a few friends from Tezpur University. According to them, the placement record for MBA is average. Most of the recruiting companies visiting the campus hire for local positing with salary packages of around 3.5 LPA.
Occasionally one or two companies offer few high-paying job roles. In the recent placement drive, DHL offered a salary package of 8 LPA.
However, you always have the option to opt for off-campus placements.
