AKTU has extended the UPTAC 2026 Round 1 registration deadline from June 15 to June 22, 2026. Candidates seeking BTech admission can register and upload documents at uptac.samarth.edu.in. Choice filling will now begin on June 29.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has extended the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 Round 1 registration deadline at uptac.samarth.edu.in. Candidates can now register and upload documents till June 22, 2026. The earlier last date was June 15, 2026.
AKTU has also issued a revised counselling schedule for Round 1. Document verification will continue till June 27, 2026. Choice filling and locking will open on June 29, 2026. Round 1 seat allotment will be declared on July 4, 2026.
UPTAC is the centralised counselling for BTech and other technical programmes in Uttar Pradesh. It covers AKTU-affiliated institutes and several other participating state universities.

UPTAC 2026 Registration Fee and Seat Acceptance Charges
The UPTAC 2026 counselling registration fee is Rs 1,000. This fee is non-refundable except in the case of withdrawal from counselling. Candidates pay a separate seat acceptance fee after allotment.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The third subject can be Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a Technical Vocational subject. A valid JEE Main 2026 score is required for BTech admission through UPTAC.
How to Register for UPTAC 2026 Round 1?
Follow these steps to complete the UPTAC 2026 registration online.
- Visit the official portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in.
- Sign up using your JEE Main 2026 application credentials.
- Fill in personal and academic details on the form.
- Upload the scanned photograph, signature, and required documents.
- Pay the registration fee of Rs 1,000 online.
- Review all entries and submit the application.
Keep ready your Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets before logging in. Also keep your domicile certificate, valid photo ID, and JEE Main details. Online payment options include net banking, debit card, credit card, and UPI.
This is the first deadline shift in UPTAC 2026 Round 1. The seven-day window helps late JEE Main aspirants enter the first allotment list. Students should not wait for further extensions.
