The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, has opened the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2026 counselling registration. The process covers Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) admissions across the state. Candidates can register at the official portal tn-mbamca.com. Anna University conducts the centralised counselling on behalf of DoTE.
The counselling fee is Rs 800 for general category candidates. It drops to Rs 400 for SC, SCA, and ST candidates from Tamil Nadu. Candidates can pay online through net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. The fee is non-refundable once submitted.
TANCET 2026 results were declared on May 22, 2026. Scorecards remain available till June 26, 2026 on tancet.annauniv.edu. Eligible candidates must complete registration during the counselling window. The full tentative schedule is hosted on the official portal.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Candidates must meet a few basic conditions to participate in counselling. The rules cover both academic performance and state nativity.
- Bachelor's degree with 50 percent marks for unreserved candidates
- 45 percent marks for SC, SCA, ST, and other reserved categories
- Valid Tamil Nadu nativity certificate for state quota seats
- Qualified TANCET 2026 scorecard from Anna University
- No upper age limit applies for admission
