Who Is Eligible for KCET 2026 Option Entry?
Candidates must have qualified the KCET 2026 examination. They also need to clear document verification at the assigned helpline centre. Original certificates and the rank card are mandatory at verification.
Only verified candidates can proceed to enter options online. KEA opens the portal login using the CET number and password set during registration.
How to Fill KCET 2026 Option Entry?
- Visit the official KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
- Log in using CET number and password.
- Browse the list of colleges and courses.
- Add preferred options in strict order of priority.
- Save the entries before the daily session times out.
- Review the choice list carefully and lock it.
What Happens After Option Entry?
KEA will release a mock allotment based on the entered choices. Candidates can review the mock result and revise their option order. The final Round 1 allotment is then published on the same portal.
Seat allotment depends on both rank and option order. A high rank cannot save a candidate from a poor choice list. KEA assigns seats strictly in the order entered by the student.
Action Plan for Candidates
- Visit the official portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in on June 10.
- Complete document verification before the option entry window closes.
- Shortlist colleges and branches using previous year cutoffs.
- Log in and enter options carefully in priority order.
- Save entries regularly and lock the final choice list.
Watch for the official notification on mock allotment dates. The Round 1 seat allotment schedule will follow on cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
