NIFT has opened the 2026 admission withdrawal window. Candidates withdrawing before July 17 2026 midnight will get a full fee refund except the Registration Fee. After this only the Security Deposit will be refunded.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has opened the admission withdrawal window for the 2026-27 academic session. As per the notification issued on June 23, 2026, candidates who no longer wish to continue with their provisional admission can submit a withdrawal request through the official admissions portal.
Candidates must complete the withdrawal process by July 17, 2026 (12:00 midnight) to remain eligible for a fee refund. Requests submitted before the deadline will receive a full refund except the Registration Fee. After the deadline, the entire admission fee will be forfeited, and only the Security Deposit will be refunded.
All refunds will be processed online by the NIFT Head Office in accordance with the NIFT Admissions Guidelines 2026.

NIFT 2026 Refund Structure
The refund amount depends on when the candidate submits the withdrawal request. The cut-off is set at midnight on July 17, 2026. The table below shows the refund rule on either side of the deadline.

How to Submit a NIFT 2026 Withdrawal Request
The withdrawal process depends on the stage of admission. Candidates withdrawing before the final round of seat allocation must submit their request online, while those withdrawing after the final or spot round must apply offline.
- Visit nift.admissions.nic.in and log in using your credentials.
- Open the Withdrawal section and read the notification dated June 23, 2026.
- Submit the online withdrawal request in the prescribed format.
- Candidates withdrawing after the final or spot round must submit an offline request to the Director of the allotted NIFT campus.
- Attach the original admission receipt, if required by the campus.
A candidate who takes admission once and then withdraws cannot apply in later seat allocation rounds. The only exception is the spot round. Students should weigh this restriction carefully before submitting the request.
