JCECEB has extended the Jharkhand PECE 2026 application deadline to June 22 and rescheduled the polytechnic entrance exam to July 12. A correction window will open on June 23 and 24 for registered candidates at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has revised the Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) 2026 schedule on its official portal at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. The board issued Advertisement No. 22 on June 9, 2026 to notify candidates of the change.
The written examination will now be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026. The test will run from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM in a single shift. The application window has been extended to June 22, 2026.
JCECEB conducts the PECE every year for admission to diploma polytechnic courses in Jharkhand. The exam is the gateway to government and private polytechnic institutions across the state.

What Has Changed in the PECE 2026 Schedule?
The original schedule listed July 5, 2026 as the exam date. The board has now shifted it forward by one week to July 12, 2026. The application deadline has moved from June 17 to June 22, 2026.
JCECEB has also introduced a fresh correction window on June 23 and June 24, 2026. Registered candidates can edit details in their submitted forms during this period. The window will close at 11:59 PM on June 24, 2026.
Who Is Eligible to Apply for Jharkhand PECE 2026?
Candidates seeking admission to diploma polytechnic courses in Jharkhand can apply. The exam covers government and private polytechnic institutions across the state. Aspirants must check the official prospectus on the JCECEB portal for full eligibility rules.
The application fee is waived for Persons with Disability (PH) candidates. All other categories must pay the prescribed fee. Payment is accepted through online modes on the application portal.

How to Apply for Jharkhand PECE 2026?
Candidates must first register on the official application portal at polycet.jceceb.org.in. A registration number will be sent via SMS and email after sign-up.
Aspirants must then log in using the registration number to fill the form. Required details, documents, and the application fee must be submitted before June 22, 2026. The system will lock submissions after the deadline.
How to Use the Correction Window on June 23 and 24?
Only candidates who have submitted the application by June 22, 2026 can use the correction window. Login credentials remain the same during this period. Editing closes at 11:59 PM on June 24, 2026.
Aspirants should review personal details, category, qualification, and photograph carefully. No further correction option will be given after the window closes.
The five-day extension gives late applicants more time to complete the form. The fresh correction window also helps fix errors that could otherwise lead to rejection at the document verification stage.
