How to Check JKCET Result 2026

The JKCET 2026 Provisional Merit List is a PDF file hosted on jkbopee.gov.in. You don’t need to log in or enter any credentials — just open the PDF and search for your name. Here is the step-by-step process:

1. Open your browser and go to jkbopee.gov.in.
2. Find the ’Results’ section — it appears on the homepage or under the ’Examinations’ tab in the menu.
3. Click on the link titled ’JKCET 2026 Provisional Merit List’ or ’B.E./B.Tech CET Result 2026’.
4. The PDF opens in a new browser tab.
5. Press Ctrl+F (Windows / Linux) or Command+F (Mac) to open the in-page search bar.
6. Type your full name or roll number — your row will be highlighted in the PDF.

JKCET 2026 Provisional Merit List: What It Contains

The JKCET 2026 result is a Provisional Merit List PDF — not a set of individual scorecards. JKBOPEE publishes one consolidated PDF on jkbopee.gov.in that lists every ranked candidate. Each entry in the list includes:

• Candidate’s full name
• Roll number and application number
• Category (OM, RBA, SC, ST, ALC/IB, CDP, EWS, etc.)
• Marks scored in the JKCET (out of 180)
• Rank in the category merit list

The word "provisional" means the list is open for objections. Candidates have 3 days from the notification date to flag errors in their name, marks, or rank. Re-totalling and Objection Against the Result

If you feel your marks are not right, you can ask JKBOPEE to re-total your answer sheet. You have 3 days from the result date to do this. The re-totalling fee is ₹1000 per question, paid through the POS machine at the BOPEE offices in Srinagar or Jammu.

Re-totalling means JKBOPEE checks the adding-up of your marks again. The expert view on any objection is final, and the result stands on that basis. Since the JKCET 2026 result came out on May 6, the re-totalling window closed around May 9, 2026.

You can also raise an objection against the merit list in person at the Board office in Jammu or Srinagar on working days, within the time JKBOPEE allows. Always carry your payment receipt and a written representation.

What After JKCET Result 2026: Counselling Process

Once the Final Merit List is out, JKBOPEE opens online counselling for B.E./B.Tech seat allotment across J&K’s engineering colleges. JKCET 2026 counselling is expected to begin from the last week of June 2026 and continue through July and August. The full schedule will be published on jkbopee.gov.in after the final list is released.

Step 1 — Counselling Registration and Fee Payment

Register online at jkbopee.gov.in during the counselling window and pay the counselling fee. Only candidates who complete registration and fee payment can take part in seat allotment. Do this on time — a missed registration means you lose your chance for that round.

Step 2 — Document Verification

Attend document verification as per the schedule. You are usually called in order of your rank. Carry all original documents and self-attested photocopies. If your documents are not in order, your candidature can be cancelled at this stage.

Step 3 — Choice Filling

After verification, fill in your college and course preferences online in priority order. Think through your choices carefully. JKBOPEE’s seat allotment matches your merit rank and category against available seats and the preferences you submit. Once the window closes, your choices are locked.

Step 4 — Seat Allotment

JKBOPEE publishes the allotment result online. Log in, check your allotted seat, and accept it if you want to proceed. After acceptance, pay the admission fee as directed and confirm your intent to join.

Step 5 — Reporting to Allotted College

Report to your allotted institution by the deadline with all original documents for physical verification. If you miss the reporting deadline, the seat goes back to the pool for later rounds.

JKCET counselling usually runs for 2 main rounds plus a mop-up round. If seats remain vacant after the mop-up, JKBOPEE may conduct a special round. All rounds happen online through jkbopee.gov.in.
