IPU CET Seat Allotment 2026: Round 1 Result Out, How to Check, Accept Seat and Reporting

IPU CET 2026 seat allotment is the result step where GGSIPU assigns you a college and programme based on your CET rank, preferences and category. The Round 1 allotment result was declared on June 12, 2026 on the official portal ipu.admissions.nic.in. You must now log in, choose Freeze, Float or Withdraw, and pay the part academic fee within the published acceptance window to lock your seat.

The counselling will move to Round 2 in July 2026, followed by a sliding round and an internal spot round for vacant seats. IPU CET Seat Allotment 2026 Dates

GGSIPU has released the Round 1 seat allotment on June 12, 2026 and the Round 2 result is expected in the first week of July 2026. The table below lists every round in the rotation order, so the next round you need to watch is always at the top. Each row carries the allotment result date, the acceptance and reporting window, and the live status.

The Round 1 fee payment window closes on June 16, 2026 and document verification at the allotted institute runs till June 17, 2026. Missing either deadline cancels the Round 1 allotment and removes you from the merit pool for the float and upgrade process.

How to Check IPU CET Seat Allotment Result 2026

The allotment result is hosted only on the GGSIPU admissions portal and not on the result website where you downloaded your CET scorecard. You will use the same registration number and password that you created for counselling registration in late May 2026. Use a laptop browser if possible since the choice locking screen prints better than the mobile view.

1. Open ipu.admissions.nic.in in a fresh browser tab.
2. Click on the IPU CET 2026 Counselling login link on the home page.
3. Enter your registration number, password and the security captcha.
4. Open the Seat Allotment Result tab on the candidate dashboard.
5. Check your allotted institute, programme, category and shift.
6. Download the allotment letter as a PDF for your records.
7. Move to the Fee Payment and Freeze / Float / Withdraw tab to confirm your choice.

Read the allotted programme name carefully because GGSIPU lists the campus, the affiliated institute and the shift in the same line. A B.Tech CSE seat in a morning shift at one institute is a different seat from the same programme in an evening shift at another institute.

Accept, Freeze or Float — What to Do After Allotment

After your Round 1 allotment is displayed, you must select one of three actions inside the portal before the fee payment window closes. The wrong choice can either lock you into a less preferred seat or drop you out of the counselling completely. Read each option below before you click.

If you select Float and a better seat is allotted in Round 2, the new seat replaces the old one automatically and the previous allotment is cancelled. If no better seat opens, your Round 1 seat carries forward and you continue to the document verification step at the same institute.

IPU CET Seat Acceptance Fee 2026

You must pay the part academic fee online before the deadline shown on your allotment letter or the seat will be released back to the pool. The counselling participation fee of Rs 2,500, made up of Rs 1,500 as the requisite fee and Rs 1,000 as the participation fee, is paid at the registration stage and is not refundable.

Payment is accepted only through the online gateway on ipu.admissions.nic.in and not at the institute counter. Save the transaction receipt as a PDF since the institute will ask for it during document verification.

Documents Required for Reporting

You must carry one set of original documents plus two self attested photocopies for the document verification step at the allotted institute. Keep the digital copies on your phone as well since the verification officer often asks for a backup view.

• IPU CET 2026 admit card and scorecard.
• Counselling registration slip with payment receipt.
• Seat allotment letter downloaded from the portal.
• Class 10 marksheet and pass certificate for date of birth proof.
• Class 12 marksheet and pass certificate.
• Category certificate for SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwD if you claimed the quota.
• Delhi region certificate if you claimed the Delhi region quota.
• Aadhaar card and one government photo identity proof.
• Recent passport size photographs, usually four.
• Migration certificate if your Class 12 board is outside Delhi.

Missing or unverified documents lead to provisional admission, and a final seat is confirmed only after all originals are produced within the institute deadline.

What If No Seat Is Allotted

If you do not get a seat in Round 1, you stay in the merit pool automatically and your filled choices carry forward to Round 2 without any new action from you. You do not need to fill choices again or pay a fresh counselling fee unless the portal asks for fresh preferences.

If Round 2 also closes without an allotment, you can still appear for the sliding round and the internal spot round in late July 2026, where vacant seats from withdrawals and joining failures are offered. For the spot round you may need to report in person at the GGSIPU Dwarka campus, so keep your originals ready.

The non refundable counselling participation fee of Rs 2,500 is not returned even if no seat is allotted, but any part academic fee paid against a cancelled allotment is refunded as per the GGSIPU refund rule. Check the latest refund notice on the portal before you raise a query.
