AIIMS New Delhi,has announced the schedule for the Online Seat Allocation Process for INI SS (Institute of National Importance Super Specialty) courses. This includes admissions to DM, MCh, and MD (HA) programs for the January 2026 session. Eligible candidates can now begin the process of exercising their choices for the 1st round of seat allocation till 26th December 2025.
The counselling is for admission to 365 seats for DM, 231 for M.Ch and 29 seats for MD (Hospital Administrations). Two separate merit lists are released- AIIMS Merit List (AML) for AIIMS and PGIMER and CML (Common Merit List) for admission to other institutes.

Is there any spot selection in INI SS 2026 counselling?
The INI SS counselling includes only three rounds of the seat allotment process. Still, if there are any vacant seats left then the authority will arrange an open or spot selection round. In this case, the remaining vacant seats will be filled based on the merit and availability of seats.
INI SS: Documents Required
Some important documents will be needed to confirm your admission to the allocated institute. Required documents are listed below for your reference.
- Offer letter
- Institute allocation letter
- Final registration slip
- Admit card issued by AIIMS
- 10th passing/ birth certificate showing your date of birth
- MBBS degree and all years’ mark sheet
- MD/MS degree/provisional pass certificate
- OBC/SC/ST/EWS or Ex-serviceman certificate if you have taken any age relaxation.
- Medical Council Registration
What will happen if my documents do not match with my application form?
You can claim to the allotted institute only after the verification of your documents for eligibility and identity. If you fail to submit all required documents (original or photocopies with DD) or your document does not match the information in your form then your candidature will be cancelled. The seat which was allotted to you in the first round of seat allotment will be vacant for the next round and you will not be allowed to participate in the second or third round. However, you will be eligible for the spot selection round (if any) if you fulfil the eligibility criteria.
INI SS 2026: Seat Confirmation Fees
After the seat allotment, you need to submit all the required documents to the allotted institution for verification. You will have to deposit a Demand Draft of INR 3,00,000 and one set of self-attested photocopies of all the documents.

Ques. What happens if a candidate is not allotted a seat in the first round of counselling?
Ans. If you are not allotted a seat in the first round, you are eligible for the next round of seat allotment. All you have to do is update your choices for courses and colleges to enhance your chances of getting a seat in the next round.
Ques. Is NEET SS and INI ss same?
Ans. The Institute of National Importance Super Speciality is famous for its top-notch programs and AIIMS hosts this entrance exam annually. In INI SS we are supposed to choose our speciality whereas in NEET SS the entire medicine syllabus is asked. In INI SS 60% of the course includes the speciality and remaining 40% is asked from the general medicine.
