Ques. What are the three specialisations available in LLM at JECRC University, and how do I choose one?
Ans. JECRC University School of Law offers the LLM programme in three specialisations: Business Law, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and Personal Law. You choose your specialisation at the time of application. Business Law is suited for those interested in corporate law, commercial transactions, and banking law. IPR is ideal for those interested in patents, trademarks, and copyright law. Personal Law covers family law, succession, and related areas. The fee structure is the same across all three specialisations.
Ques. Is CLAT PG mandatory for LLM admission at JECRC University, or can I apply directly?
Ans. CLAT PG is not strictly mandatory for LLM admission at JECRC University. The university accepts both CLAT PG-qualified candidates (who go through the CLAT PG counselling process) and direct applicants. Direct applicants are required to qualify the university's Personal Interview (PI) process. However, having a CLAT PG score is preferred and may improve your chances of admission, especially for merit-based seat allotment.
Ques. What is the total fee for LLM at JECRC University, and are there any scholarships available?
Ans. The total fee for the 2-year LLM programme is Rs. 1,60,000, which includes an annual fee of Rs. 75,000 (Rs. 45,000 tuition + Rs. 30,000 other fees) for two years, plus a one-time non-refundable admission and alumni fee of Rs. 10,000. For scholarships, only the Special Category Scholarship (10% of tuition fee = Rs. 4,500 per annum) is available for LLM students, applicable to NCC certificate holders, alumni siblings, single girl children, war widows, and sports medalists, among others. No merit-based scholarship based on LLB percentage is offered for the LLM programme.
Ques. What career opportunities are available after completing LLM in Business Law from JECRC University?
Ans. Graduates of the LLM Business Law programme can pursue careers as corporate lawyers, legal advisors in banks and financial institutions, in-house counsel at MNCs, legal consultants in international trade, and legal academics. The specialisation in Business Law is particularly relevant for roles in mergers and acquisitions, securities law, banking regulation, and commercial arbitration. Students can also appear for judicial services examinations or pursue a PhD in Law. The university's placement cell provides career support, with law graduates placed at firms such as Economic Laws Practice and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
Ques. What is the hostel availability for LLM students at JECRC University?
Ans. Hostel accommodation at JECRC University is available for LLM students subject to availability. The hostel fee for 2026-27 ranges from Rs. 1,27,000 per annum (Non-AC, 4-seater) to Rs. 1,72,000 per annum (AC, 3-seater), charged for 10 months. A one-time non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 5,000 is also applicable. Separate hostels are maintained for boys and girls. Hostel allotment is subject to availability and the student's academic performance and conduct.

Ans. Both 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated LLB graduates are eligible for admission to the LLM programme at JECRC University. The eligibility criteria require a minimum of 60% marks in either a 3-year LLB or a 5-year integrated LLB degree from a recognised university. Candidates from SC/ST/Rajasthan OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Women categories are eligible with a minimum of 55%.
