Admission:

This college is the top most college in Engineering. And also have good lab facilities and transportation and good teaching . Teachers are friendly and they help in are activites related to studies. All the facilities are available in this college

Life at CET

Likes

The campus had a lot of scenery and was close to nature
There are a lot of helpful events happening on campus frequently.
The management process is very fast and efficient

Dislikes

Some of the faculty are not as good as you would expect

Admission:

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k.

Likes

Campus Life and experiences are a huge plus. College campus is lively throughout the day up until 9.
Technical fests and cultural fests of the college, namely Dhwani, Drishti, dept fests etc.
Computing facilities of the campus that are available.

Dislikes

Faculty experience as they are normally not approachable
Teaching methods are sometimes questionable - the effectiveness of powerpoint teaching
Campus infrastructure needs some improvement

Admission:

For admission into any college under KTU, you have to write and clear the KEAM entrance examination. You get ranked based on the score on your exam ( it covers Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ) and allotments are provided. CET was my top choice.

Likes

There are many technical and as well as technical clubs for the students, which provide better opportunities for them
Nature friendly campus which is 125 acres. In our department girls to boys ratio is almost 1:1.
Great alumni network us there. Also good faculties.

Dislikes

Need more development inside the campus. Also not so good classrooms and all.
Faculties are too strict during giving internal marks. They give internals as prescribed by ktu, but in other private colleges, they try giving students the maximum marks.
We will be stressful and tired most of the time. We should learn to remain emotionally stable to cope up with the college life.

CET is said to be the best college in Kerala. The top rankers in KEAM mostly prefer CET over any other colleges. I didn't applied to any other colleges too. CET was my first option during allotment. And i got there in the first allotment itself. For getting into CET we need to write KEAM entrance examination. The admission is only through merit seat. And there are no management seats.

College of Engineering Trivandrum- A perfect blend of excellence , opportunities and Growth

environment. there are lot of trees and plants. every morning and evening we can here the chirping of birds and we get fresh air. it is such a calm climate and each department has its own garden and trees that provide different fruits.
Near to each department there are canteen like stalls available for students to take sip of tea and chat. we have a park like place which is named as gazebo for the students to take a group discussion or doing projects or chatting.
In front of college there are lot of shope which we can easily access. every necessary items are available there and we dont have to travel more. near to college itself we have temple mosque and church

Dislikes

some of the teachers are not doing their job correctly and gives more stress to students and even some of them doesnt concider about the students mental stability or emotions
Dogs..there are lot of lot of dogs in our campus. they are soo annoying and in the classes also they are coming early in the morning and took the first seat . even students are late comers but these dogs are not. Every night they bark so loudly.

Admission:

I have completed diploma and there after i can directly join in to second year of btech through lateral entry examnination. In electronics and communication department there are only 6 seats available for lateral entry students. i got 3rd rank in the examination department wise and i can easily get in to this college.

So many clubs for extra curricular activities
More placements than other engineering colleges of Kerala
9 to 9 working of College, and three D s of college,Drishti,Dhwani,Disha(cultural and technical fests)

Dislikes

College has so many cultural programs but inter college competition is weak,no one promotes that much,for sports its going well,but for arts its lacking

Admission:

This college is the best engineering govt college of kerala,most of the placements are happening her than others,many scientists of isro were the alumni of our college,and yes we rated rank1 in kerala in recent research

College the vibe the people students all are great programs happens there etc are so much fun and cool
Seniors people around the college are nice
Allmost 3 girl to 5 boys so it's not same in all departments

Dislikes

The faculties man they are so annoying they and their rules
Attendance 75% for all subjects for strike they won't given attendance Even though they also didn't come to class
Dogs college sorrounded by somany street dogs

Admission:

This number 1 college under kerala government who write keam and get good score will only come here if he or she couldn't get into good nit iit she or he from Kerala surely come here to engineering few will opt bits etc

Good the questions are well organised and quality of questions were good

Likes

The ambience and space is very very soothe and relaxing.
Politics are there so it help to develep other political skills
Lot of sports optionss colegge promote sportss highly so lot of different sports are there

Dislikes

Full of stray dogs here and theree and they are annoying
Teaching is ok ok some teachers are good in teaching while others are waste of tume

Admission:

This college rank first in kerala and is well known for its teaching and other cocurricular activities thus i prefer cet. I put ny first prefernce as cet and got it it in the very first allotment The eligibility exam is keam and u need to score less than 1000 rank to get the top demanding courses(highly competitive)

Likes

The college has very friendly campus with great ambience
The college has affordable canteen and cafe.
Campus is environment friendly and calm.

Dislikes

The campus has poor waste management system.
The campus lacks working water drinking facilities at some areas.
The campus has lot of programs so sometimes get bored.

Admission:

This college is one of the best college of Engineering in Kerala. This specific course of industrial engineering is only in this particular college in Kerala. So I chose this college over any other colleges.

Life at CET

Likes

The freedom that comes with being part of the government institution and having the opportunity to ask for changes from management if they took harmful decisions
Choices in project work were entirely ours and the guides are only there to help along the way and not dictate the project as a whole
There's a good boys to girls ratio in class

Dislikes

Faculty availability for subjects were scarce
Faculty were not helpful at all in the learning process all of it is self study
Study materials are not provided for learning

Admission:

You have to clear KEAM entrance examination with a good rank for admission to this college. This was my top choice. My college is the best engineering college under KTU and hardest to get into. I was glad I got in here in my first try. Therefore I did not choose other colleges under KTU.
