For the entrance exam, I gave CAT, which was a really tough examination but due to my continuous hard work for two years, I managed to clear it with the required cut-off. After that, I received a call letter from the college and went for counseling. I also participated in the GD round. I cleared all the rounds and then all my academic transcripts like class 10th and 12th scorecards, graduation degrees, internship certificates, and financial documents were verified.

Here, the placements are excellent. During my placement year, prestigious firms such as RBS, KPMG, Bristlecone, Vedanta, Infosys, HCL, MAZARS, Cognizant, ICICI Bank, Kelton Tech, TCS, and others came to recruit. Leading high-growth startups also offered sought-after positions like Product management. The average package offered to us was 14 lakhs and one even got a salary package as high as 18.7 lakhs by Deloitte.

Despite having a legacy spanning a lot of years and being one of the oldest institutions in the country, the management department of IIT Roorkee was established fairly recently. CAT score and personal interview performance are the two most important parameters for admission. Work experience is also accounted for.

The good aspect of studying in DoMS IIT, is that to study MBA in an IIT ecosystem. The admission starts in the month of February every year. A valid CAT score is essential for joining. Work experience and Personal Interview performance are also considered for selection.

I had many reasons behind choosing this college, here are a few reasons. Students at the College have access to a variety of resources. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every student at the college library gets access to e-books at any time. College offers ten boys hostels, three girls hostels, and six married hostels. College features a sports and laboratory facility. It features a nice hospital, gym, and traditional store. The campus boasts a pleasant atmosphere in which to learn. It features lovely gardens, lawns, canteens, and clubs. It has a lot of interesting places to see.

Actually I did my graduation from NIT Delhi and also wanted to maintain my MBA standard upto that for which IIT Roorkee was a great option. Management department of this institute is known for its high placements and also has AICTE approval. In 2019,NIRF ranked it 11th while Times group gave it 48th place for their respective MBA programme rankings. For admissions to the institute the CAT cutoff is always high while along with that PI, group exercise, work experience and past academic performances are also checked

IIT Roorkee is one of the best and established institute. I did MBA for here because of its name and the placements they provide. I got selected on my CAT percentage, my past academic percentage and the interview round. There is also a WAT which tests our writing ability.

MBA at IIT Roorkee is moulded to impart knowledge about managerial domain. In this institute the management department offers MBA course in five specialisations. Graduate with professional qualification from UGC recognized university are eligible of getting admisson. Besides, final year candidates also get the chance to admit themselves for the course with JEE main or advanced/ CAT and PI as a selection criteria.

Although IIT Roorkee is an old institute, its management program began only a couple of years ago but since, it has made a name for itself in the management field as well. Before getting admission to the college I went through a interview round for which I was shortlisted based on my CAT score.
