- Food is very tasty and provided at proper times. It's freshly prepared and hygienic too and snacks are also provided.
- Very close to the airport, around 20mins drive.
- All sorts of e-commerce and quick commerce allowed and available.
Dislikes
- Rigour is okay, but feels quite forced at not only MDI, but all B-schools. It's also a very bad culture where seniors urge students to not take proper rest/sleep. We must collectively work to end this disgusting cycle.
- Lack of stationery shops/lackluster grocery store within the campus.
- Snacks/food stalls have overpriced food stuffs.

- Courses offered - Options for electives on the basis of specialisation are quite less for a Tier 1 college

- The canteen, college life, sharma ji and jha ji parathe, alot of events.
- Fests, college events, professors, the instructure is also beautiful
- The course curriculum is very relevant and the placements are also good

- 1.5 hours of class because the attention span is very less for humans
- Too much construction is being done right now spoiling the scenic beauty
- Induction process is very tough so that could be improved

- I liked the curriculum of my program. Also the hostel are decent.
- Many big brands come to campus for final placement.
- Faculty is experienced and they hold a good amount of knowledge about the course they are teaching.
Dislikes
- The life is very fast here you can't get into depth of a subjects here.
- Attendance policy is very strict. Below 80% attendance in class students get grade docks
- The college gym is not well equipped with machines. Machine operated here are pretty old.

Course Curriculum Overview:
Likes
- The course is well designed, with ample of resources in the library and labs to enrich oneself.
- The campus is a beautiful place with lots of facilities to play different sports and also to spend idle time
- The location of the college is at the center of the city which makes commuting to any part very easy
Dislikes
- The class hours are too long considering they go over 90 minutes with a strict attendance policy
- The facilities in the old hostels need to be improved considering the fees paid
- Although the food of the mess is good and there are canteens in the campus, there needs to be present more options to eat for student considering when it comes to eating healthy food.

What is your review of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon?
My review of the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon is fairly objective and is based on my sister's review of the same. I have written a detailed review with elaborate pros and cons that might clear most of your doubts.
Pros
Campus: The campus is in the vicinity of all the dynamic places in Gurgaon like a cyber hub, sec 29, and golf course road. However, inside the campus, the ambiance is exactly different and serene. The infrastructure and campus are extremely beautiful, lush green, and well-built to give you a fairly dreamy experience.
No reservation: Unlike other B Schools, MDI Gurgaon does not reserve seats for minorities or any other groups. So the entire batch is usually 98 percentilers ensuring you avail the best peer learning experience.
Clubs: MDI Gurgaon has the usual clubs as well as the extraordinary ones like Unnati and Illumina Illumina is a disguised market research event, wherein a Diwali mela is organized on the campus. Marketing companies give out projects for market research to students who then create games to do research. Unnati is a fund operated by the students of MDI. Alums and students invest in it.
Faculty: The faculty keeps changing or retiring but the most permanent faculty is Prof. Sanjay Bakshi, who also runs a company called Value Quest.
Placements: The placements are definitely not at or with IIM ABC but are at level with IIM IKL or FMS.
Exchange program: The exchange program is one of the best in the country as almost one-third of the batch gets to visit Europe and get amazing exposure.
Alumni: MDI has its alumni in top positions in the corporate world as well as the startup world. Some of them include Paperboat, Instamojo, Cashify, etc. Some of the alums are in top positions like Amit Boni, who is the head of Motorola India.
Cons
Weak alumni base: The alumni meets are just official meet-ups not many are interested to attend. Only the recent batches meet and no one is interested in strengthening the network.
There are not many flaws one can point to this great Institute as you can see how the pros overshadow the cons and make it a good choice.
Could you please provide unbiased reviews of MDI, NITIE and IIFT Kolkata?
Most of the people have suggested that overall all the three colleges are good and you will not be facing any problem if you take admission in any one of them. The NITIE College is good operations management, MDI is good for General management and Human resource management and IIFT is good for International trade. So, it depends upon you which branch you are interested in.
The overall reviews of these colleges are as follows:
MDI:
- This college is fairly consistent in getting top 10 rankings.
- There are various kinds of live projects in the college which will help you in understanding the working culture in the corporate industry. Some of this live project will also allow formulating business strategies.
- You will be having access to great infrastructure such as Bloomberg terminal and EuroMonitor database.
- Along with the vibrant campus you will also be getting right guidance from Professors like Prof Bakshi , Prof Chatterjee and Prof. Mitra who will help you in getting the right path.
- You will also be getting great placement opportunities in various fields.
NITIE:
- Operations management in this college is very good.
- It is located in Mumbai and because of this location that will get lots of live projects in the industries.
- The college also provides good placement in the field of supply chain management, operations management, etc.
- This college also has a good alumni base. There is not much flexibility in the placements and the rest depends upon you.
IIFT Kolkata:
- It is one of the greatest colleges with economics and trade as its pillars.
- If you are looking for branches like international business and operations management then this is the best college.
- There is a slight disadvantage between Kolkata and Delhi branches but the placements in both locations are similar.

Overall IIFT-K is only good for trade and economics. For placements in finance, marketing and consulting roles MDI is a much better college than IIFT K and for operations management, NITIE is the best.
