MITE, Where Stones turn into diamonds?

The infrastructure is great, The atmosphere and the environment is great as well
Relatively calm compared to other engineering colleges
The distance from college to roadside to get a bus is not great but definitely not the worst

Dislikes

The faculty is a mixed bag...some are great and some are shit.
There's a lot of confusion in the college at the beginning and even as you spend time there it's hard to navigate in the college. Feels like a labyrinth.
Lack of internet and power ports to use in classroom.. In first year it didn't affect me but right now not having power sockets in the classroom other than the ones near the board really sucks.

I chose this college because of my rank. This college was in second place in my list because of which I joined this college.i have applied to Nitte engineering college but due to the rank cutoff i didn't get a free seat so rejected that and due to my high KCET rank i couldn't go to sahayadri or St. Joseph mangalore which is kind of false since if I had waited for 2nd or 3rd round counselling I could have gotten it but I didn't knew it. I didn't make it to Sahyadri and all due to rank limitations but with Nitte I didn't go because I had what 850 rank in their specific exam but still I didn't get a free seat even though my rank was under 1000 and the office people of Nitte said that the cutoff the year at which I applied is 600 not 1000. I was pissed and tried to negotiate but it didn't work. Nitte's fees is outrageous for CSE so I had to go through CET to get an affordable seat in a college Admission process was simple due to the merit seat. Eligibility is simple...have to write KCET and have to pass 12th... that's it i feel. Exams accepted and most preferred by students is KCET. Cutoff of KCET is from 30,000-90,000 for IT and EC courses and the cutoff is even higher for mechanical, mechatronics etc going above 1,00,000

Good facilites like auditoriums, halls etc

Terrible management and very disrespectful towards students
Bad fees charge charge as much as any better college
Terrible office facility and expolititative

I didnt try to apply to other colleges because my marks were very bad. I couldn't apply to other colleges. I didnt get any rejection becasue I was in the cut-off area before even having to apply to any colleges

First is proximity to my location, Strong academic results, Practical exposure, Good placement opportunities. Compared to other college we are having good result, placement and also cultural as well as technical events. We are having CET quota as well as managment quota.

One of things i liked here is the clubs specifically my club called Mask which is a Drama/theater club
Other thing is the clg fest SENTIA which is a state level techno fest
Though the campus is inside a rural area and all there is a good network here

Dislikes

The placement in here is not good most are 3 Tier jobs
There is not much activities in this clg and they cancel many events also for some unknown reason
The most hated thing for me is there is no Ncc unit in here

So i have applied for many colleges like mit manipal , nitte, And i have written cet exam. I chose this clg because at first it looked nice and all they had a banner saying tge highest package was 50LPA so i though the placement was nice. Yea i had around 29k rank in mit examination and would have gotten a seat but it was expensive , then in nitte i got the rank 912 but the system has shown me the wrong rank at first so i didnt go to the seat allotment day The admission can be done through cet comedk and management If waited till 3rd round people with 2lakh rank in cet can also get seat in courses like aiml and all

Overall in this region this college provides the best education,has the best infrastructures , beautiful campus and also the placement opportunities are high here,the eligibility is minimum marks from puc and 10th that's above 70% or else the fees may vary

Likes

Good awareness, good education, good environment, good lectures
All facilities are good for poor students, good library
Monthly installments are required for middle class family students

Dislikes

Some courses for High fees are included, no any adjustments
Only uniform is mandatory, no colour dress only college function
Meals are available for only high score students

Admission:

In this university all are good, it taking first' preference for teaching and taking interviews, because of it nothing have any fake, fake teaching, fake marks, not required, so this university students are taking good marks with percentage

I like my collage infrastructure very much. It was very good and friendly faculties
We had friendly faculties. They are very careful to students. They clear doubts, everything they are very supportive. In all aspects
And there was a food court, which was quite good.Clean and they have provide very clean food and which was very tasty

Dislikes

I don't like watchmen. They are very strict than faculty. They follow rules regularly
Everything is good as of now. I don't have any dislike to mention

Admission:

I chose this college because it was suggested by my friends, and many of my friends were studying. They suggested I join this college as they provide good companies to work for. The teaching was very good, and the college infrastructure is very nice. An admission process in our college is quite good. Rejection in our college is very low.
