Things you should know before get into DYAL SIGH EVENING COLLEGE, DU

Likes

sports facilities in the college is amazing there are all the sports equipment provides by the college college such as football cricket kits.
campus is huge when we compare it to other colleges in the university
college canteen is affordable for students

Dislikes

library of the college is not that great siting capacity in the library is too less and there is no much variety of books are available there
faculty in 1st year was amazing but after that faculty of college wasn't that great they were not taking the classes as per the timetable
classes in the college starts at 8 AM and goes till 5 PM that is so much exhausting its like 1st class of the day would be at 10 AM and the next will be at 3 PM and this is really a big issue i think

other than this college i applied to IP UNIVERSITY and i got into that but i thought this college is under delhi university and it would be a great decision to got for DU instead of IP and makes no sense for me to pay 300000 for the same couse in IP UNIVERSITY. but i regret my decision of not going for IP insted of DU.

1st Sem experience in Dyal Singh Evening College

Likes

Very nice faculty who are supportive and qualified. Better than the morning college.
Evening college is also in the morning only. Its a fully fledged day college.
Very active societies you can pick and choose from. Immensely helps you connect to your peers and seniors.

Dislikes

The overall infrastructure is not upto par. Acs and smart boards are not available in regular classes. Seats and tables are also pretty bad. 6.5/10
The boy to girl ratio is 5:1. Can be a little uncomfortable for girls however campus is safe.
Overall number of fests that take place is very nominal due to previous fights in the campus and such scandals.

Admission:

I applied to other North Campus colleges but couldnt get thru because of the high cut off in bcom hons. I scored 681/800 as a general female with no other category. Applied to private colleges as well and got in but chose this college as its under DU and is one of the top colleges in South Campus. This was my 9-10th preference.

Art facility is to good because they every month department organization different different college program and showing Indian culture
Sport is to excellent because every spot program organiza by sports day like hooki cricket
Dance . The dance program college showing different types like fook dance indian girl culture

Dislikes

Timeing not tha good very semester change
Boys behavior not good they are pulling girls
Water facility bed . Water come time not available because some prblm college

I am choise this college. University of delhi dayaal singh evening college this my full college name I chose because this is Senterel university and low fess good skills department and most important thing this college heigh ranking college to others college

One right choice of College for all students, Dyal Singh Evening College

Likes

The campus is great and lively , students are friendly
There are multiple societies here , and once get to choose be part of it as per their liking and interests
The teachers are certified and give quality education at such low fees that we submit

Dislikes

There is two college in one campus which a gud point as well as negative since sometimes there's equality faced that some students talks about
There are some teachers who are not so friendly
Sometimes the crowd at college do get little boring when it's peak exam time

Admission:

I applied for multiple colleges , one of them was Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University , and i got into the college IITM , but withdrawer my funds from there as fees was high as compared to DU colleges , and education was same..When I got into Du I left IITM

The faculty is good and the environment of college is also good
The canteen of this college is fabulous and hygienic
The playground and locality is also very good

Dislikes

The college is named as evening but the time of classes is of morning
The classes of some subject were not taken according to timetable
There is clear discrimination between morning and evening block student

I ve applied for the south campus and north campus colleges of Delhi University but I got this one based on my cuet exam and this is the best college which I get on the basis of my marks and the process of getting admission in this college is an exam conducted by nta called cuet

Likes

The place where the college is located is very nice
The interaction with the campus life is quite nice as the people are nice and friendly
If you are intrested in doing jobs and internships , the placement cell of the college helps a lot.

Dislikes

There is no rooms / pg available nearby so you have to find an accommodation little far.
The faculty is decent as there are less experience teachers overall
As it is evening college things are little different from the morning one.

I choosed this college over 2 other colleges of delhi university. Beacuse the rating of this college was high from colleges. Also it is located at a nice place , the environment is amazing. I was rejected by some top colleges like hindu college and st. Stephens as my cuet score was not that good but the three colleges I got selected in , out of that three I chose dyal singh college (evening) The addmission process was very easy , I had to submit the first year fees online and that it. The document verification was done after 2 months. There was no rust at all.

Likes

I like the faculties of my college specially for my course. They all are very honest towards their work.
Proper classes is going on. Rarely we face class cancellation.
Crowd of the college is average. You can find good mates in short span of time.

Dislikes

5-7% of the students are wild, you can find difficulties if you aren't smart in dealing with them.
Infrastructure, basic amenities like drinking water, wash room isn't up to the mark.
My college doesn't conduct any program or fest 😒

I chose University Of Delhi because in my field it provides exposure as well as it supports my passion and goal. And many of my seniors are there. No I don't have faced any rejection from any other colleges because I only applied for Delhi University. In my collyor in DU, admission process is quite simple, students can get admission on the basis of score of the cuet of particular subjects that is required for certain course. After exam students have to register on CSAS portal of DU. Then University opens the portal for preference making, then students have to submit their preference according to their intrest. Then University publish cut off for different courses. If your marks is above the cut offs then you can get admission in that particular course & college.

I like the football and cricket ground, it's very good
There is teaching faculty that is good in college, all the professor are very corporate and helpful
The societies are also good and they help ypu develop your personality

Dislikes

There are some classes that don't have enough ventilation
This college is filled with a lot of political active student
There are many subject that I find vague

Admission:

I Applied for the delhi university through DU CSAS portal and than you need to fill the preference list of the college and courses you want to apply for. I got admission in 2023 in this college. At that time the admission process is through cuet exam.

Likes

The campus is big it is the biggest campus in whole du but it includes Day and evening
The crowd is good filled diversity from different places of India
The sports and college other societies are very active by this i meant there is always something happening in college

Dislikes

In my class the boys to girl ratio is very bad like 95% are boys

Well I got this college because of my Cuet score which was 644 And it is better than all off campus colleges as well as some of the south campus colleges as it has better infrastructure and better placements

The teachers of the college are really helpful and sweet and give the best guidence
Metro service near the college is really close like around 20 step after metro and you'll be in college premises
My college is a combination of 2 colleges which includes more productivity as I get to see much more activities from both the college in the same field

Dislikes

Administrative office works are really slow and don't listen to the students

I have applied for gargi college pgdav college lady Irwin college and many other too this college was coming in the top list of Delhi University in the past years this is the reason I choose to opt for this college among others I didn't reject any I got the first day admission in dyal singh evening college which I was really wanting to happen and I didn't even think twice and just confirm the admission and did not even wait for other colleges to respond for my admission The admission process now a days is the no. You scored in the CUET entrance exam for the admission process .
