Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute offers admission through the Faculty of Medical Sciences, the University of Delhi as per the procedures and regulations. Interstate candidates are required to follow below-mentioned steps to take admission :

Candidates must visit the official website of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi http://www.fmsc.ac.in
Go through the Bulletin of Information for the courses you seek to take admission.
Candidates should download the application form the website and fill all the required details like academic qualifications and personal information.
Filled forms should be submitted to the VPCI office along with the application fees.
Application fees payment should be done by Cheque or DD, Cash will not be accepted.
After the entrance test result and selection of the candidate, they are required to follow the online counseling process and fill the form for the same.

For the Ph.D. program, the candidate will be granted admission based on an entrance test followed by a personal interview by the admission committee. Candidates should have a Master's degree or a professional degree in the allied subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET can directly appear for the interview.

The library: VPCI has one of the best libraries in the field of Pulmonary Disease and Allied Sciences having 10038 Books, J-23157 bound Journals, 150 CDs, 508 Thesis, and 105 National and International Reports.
Animal House: It is equipped with the facility of the International Standards of Animal Experimental Laboratories. VPCI is registered under the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA).
The lecture hall: PCI has a lecture hall that is used for instructions, teaching, and seminars. It is used for group works and other contemporary educational activities. The lecture hall has audio-visual equipment, microphone, and loudspeakers to help the lecturer be heard, and projection screens to be used for large displays.
The Medical Photography unit: The college has a Medical Photography unit that aims to centralize documentation and multimedia resources The unit comprises a Digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera, an electronic flash unit, and supplementary lenses.

Ans. Candidates have to appear for the NEET PG exam or have a bachelor's degree from the same specialization. Admission will be done as per the rules and norms of Delhi University. Candidates seeking admission for post-graduate courses in medical science at VPCI must visit the official website for regular updates

Ques. Is there any reservation quota for the SC/ST/OBC Students?

Ans. Yes, Students belonging from SC/ST/OBC category need to have 40% marks whereas students belonging from General Category need to have 50% marks.

Ques. What is the procedure for admission in the Ph.D. Program at VPCI?

Ans. Candidates seeking admission in the Ph.D. program should have a Master's degree or a professional in the same or allied subjects. The Entrance Test is conducted every year followed by an interview. Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET can directly appear for the Interview.

Ques. What are the hostel facilities?

Ans. The hostel is a 3-storeyed building consisting of 30 rooms, 10 rooms on each floor for boys and girls studying D.M., M.D., DTCD, and Ph.D. courses in the Institute. The rooms are fully furnished and facilities of a common room (for visitors, reading and watching TV. etc.). There is a well equipped Mess with a dining room and kitchen having all modern facilities. The rooms are allotted to the students of VPCI on a first cum first serve basis.

Ques. Can students practice in the hospital wing?

Ans. Yes, the clinical wing of the Institute is the Viswanathan Chest Hospital, formerly called the Clinical Research Center. It provides facilities for patient care (outpatient, indoor, emergency and intensive care), and teaching and training of postgraduates in Pulmonary Medicine.
