Ans. Bennett University is known for its engineering courses. The B.Tech CSE program available at Bennett University spans 4 years duration with a total of 160 credits. Additionally, there are 14 minor specialisations available under B.Tech CSE so that students can choose their preferred course. Interested students must have passed Class XII with Physics and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks or a minimum score of 24 with IB Board. The selection process includes the consideration of scores of the best three subjects in Class XII Boards.  Curriculum: Bennett University B.Tech CSE is offered under the School of Computer Science and Engineering Technology. The course offers flexible and modular choices of Minors, Honours, Open Electives, Audit Courses, Two Internships of 8 and 16 weeks respectively, and a one-year internship in the final year. Students are also encouraged to participate in Competitions, Hackathons, Clubs and Societies.  Fee Structure: The one-time registration fee for B.Tech CSE at Bennett University is INR 45,000 and the total course fee is INR 16.15 Lakhs (including registration fee) for 4 years.  Scholarships: Applicants of B.Tech CSE at Bennett University can also avail of scholarships based on their merit in Class XII (Best of 3), JEE Mains 2024, and IB. The maximum scholarship one can avail is of 50% if a student scores more than or equal to 96% in Class XII (Best of 3), more than or equal to 90% in JEE Mains 2024 and more than or equal to 40% in IB. Ans. Bennett University is a better choice for pursuing a B.Tech degree as the university offers B.Tech courses in a wide range of specializations whereas Nirma University only provides B.Tech in eight specializations. The highest package of Nirma University is INR 50.15 LPA offered by Google whereas the highest salary offered by Bennett University to a B.Tech CSE student is INR 1.2 CPA. Nirma University follows reservation criteria based on which it offers seats to B.Tech students and the fees per annum for the All India Category is INR 2,29,600.  Bennett University's B.Tech fee structure is comparatively higher than Nirma University but it also offers placement assistance through various industrial collaborations like IBM, Apple, Unity, SAP, Microsft, etc, Selection at Bennett University is simply based on merit in Class XII scores for B.Tech degree courses whereas B.Tech applicants of Nirma University have to appear in JEE Mains Paper I additionally with qualifying marks in Class XII.  However, the choice of University also depends on Location, Preferred Specialization, Fee Structure, Placement Scenario, etc. Read more

Ans. UPES Dehradun does not have a good enough reputation as it does not appear anywhere in the national rankings. On the other hand, Nirma University ranks among the top institutes. It is often in the top 50 best colleges in the country. It is one of the best in Gujarat and is also on equal footing with most of the NITs. If you want to pursue CSE at Nirma University, the placements offers will be lucrative. The packages can go as high as INR 18 LPA. There are also tons of activities organized by the university which take place every now and then. You can participate in those for honing your skills. A friend of mine used to be a student of Nirma University and he came across a few students of UPES Dehradun while he was doing an internship. From what he gathered, he thinks the institute is not up to the mark and leaves a lot to be desired. UPES Dehradun focuses more on technological knowledge. You can opt for Nirma University for B.Tech without any second thought. The university offers great industrial exposure for the course.Read more

UPES Dehradun runs a wide number of courses in the CS branch. The branch has good facility computer labs with skilled faculty members. UPES has many clubs and societies for CS students that you can join as per your interest. Coding culture is really good at UPES Dehradun. The institute has a very peaceful and cooperative environment. In the below table you will get the basic information about B.Tech in computer science engineering at GLA University and UPES Dehradun. Ques. Which has a better faculty in civil engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology or UPES, Dehradun?

Ans. One of my cousins is a recent graduate from Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) and mentions that the department of Civil engineering is among the oldest departments of all. Here are some factors that you should know about it. Alongside the newer faculty members, who are both professional and easy-going, the institute also has old faculty members who are well experienced as well. However, at times, they can be quite strict too. The present HOD of civil engineering is moreover admirable as well. My cousin states the same because he sat for one of his classes. He mentions that the HOD is rather supportive and dynamic. He is always willing to be of help if any student needs it for their further studies. Professors of this department keep maintaining their decorum by all means. But, the placement stats of civil engineering has unfortunately not been great in most of the institutes nonetheless. Institutes MIT Manipal UPES Dehradun Highest CTC INR. 12 LPA INR. 7 LPA Lowest CTC INR. 4 LPA INR. 1.5 LPA Top Recruiting Companies IBM, Deloitte, Accenture and Byju's L&T, Kalpataru and Texmaco Since there is not enough information about UPES Dehradun, you can always check the highlights, curriculum, faculty, and other factors on their main homepage.
