Ans. None of the branches of Jain University offer good academics. The faculty base is average at best. The management of the university isn’t cooperative. The curriculum isn’t challenging. The learning process is mostly theoretical. You won’t get much practical exposure.  Usually, mass recruiters visit the campus placement. Ans. A friend of mine who studies at Jain University says the faculty is decent but if you are mainly looking for placements, there is no guarantee. There are quite a few IT jobs available but since Bangalore is the Silicon City of the country, you will probably not get placements in core areas. From what information was shared with me, the hostel fees and tuition fees are also quite high. Plus, admission to the university is also given directly by filling up the application form or you can even give the COMEDK, KCET exam or contact the college directly. Infrastructure-wise, the college is definitely good with five-star facilities in your hostel rooms and Bangalore city to explore. But, you have to pay for almost everything. You will see a diverse crowd in the college including a few Africans too. However, you will probably not be able to gain industry-relevant skills that might help boost your career. Ans. The full-time 4 year BTech in Aerospace Engineering degree program at Jain University has a Grade ‘A’ NAAC accreditation and has been ranked at 117 by NIRF in 2020. The course is conducted under the scope of IIAEM. Course Structure : The curriculum is well-designed and spread across 8 semesters offering a good balance of theory and practical subjects. The last two semesters also require students to submit a practical project. Faculty : Most of the faculties are alumni members from IIT’S, NAL, ISRO, and ADA. The faculty are also known to help students with internships, and placements through their industry contacts. Infrastructure : For the aerospace department, the university offers multiple practical laboratories, experimental facilities- like the subsonic wind tunnel facility and research collaborations. Admissions : To be eligible for admissions students are required to qualify and clear the Jain Entrance Test (JET) conducted by the institution. The selection process is based on the ranking. Apart from that, students must also have a minimum score of 60% in 10+2. Ans. NIT Calicut stands among the top NITs where you will get a lot of exposure to extracurricular activities. As it’s a government college, the fees will be relatively low as compared to private universities like VIT Vellore.  On the other hand, VIT Vellore isn’t that great institute plus being a private institute the fees is quite high for most middle-class students. If you choose Mechanical here then you can go for two different paths.  The first path is to go for mechanical core, in which you will get ample research opportunities every now and then. However, the placement scenario will not be that great and you might get some PSUs as campus recruiters for mechanical jobs. The second path is to go for IT Jobs regardless of your mechanical branch.  For this, you need to start doing regular coding and relevant skills to compete during the placement rounds. Most of the students are placed by mass recruiters, Although many reputed companies hire but very few students get placed by them. Ans. The CSE department is a great department to study in VIT. Students are open to a lot of facilities and learning resources. The teaching staff is helpful as well.  The CSE department of VIT ranks right after top IITs, IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, and the top NITs. The department is well-reputed in the industry. VIT has a great research culture. The course curriculum is industry-oriented.  The coding culture at VIT is thriving. CSE students from the institute do great in GSoC, ACM ICPS, and other competitions.  There’s a great startup ecosystem on campus at VIT. Many people are doing great things in Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.  You do not need to worry much about placement if you have joined VIT. In the 2021 placement drive, the highest CTC offered was 75 LPA.  So, choosing VIT for your CSE degree will definitely be worth it. Read more

Ans. CSE in IIIT Dharwad is a better option to opt for. As of now, they don't have a permanent campus but they will have their campus soon. See, there are pros and cons of every college/institute. Somewhere you might find one thing and another might be equipped with another better thing. IIIT Dharwad also has some pros and cons.  Cons: Don't have their permanent campus as of now and the temporary campus is also not that good. You have to pick your peer group very wisely because the type of people you choose will become your peer group. Pro The institute in which you will be studying is of national importance which is controlled by MHRD. It has a good reputation just like any other IITs/NITs. You will get the mentorship of some experienced faculties as PhD is mandatory for all the faculties here. Dharwad is quite close to Bangalore so you can get good placement opportunities. The campus of IIIT Dharwad will be really amazing. The facilities like hostel and mess are better in comparison to any other college/institutes. If you are a sports lover, you will have many sports facilities like cricket, football, basketball etc. And most importantly, you will have the brand name of IIIT which really matters. Ans. Considering this question, the first thing that can be highlighted is that both of these institutes cannot be compared at all. However, studying IT in IIIT Allahabad is far better as it offers several opportunities, as well as institutional environment and infrastructure to assist the student in their career growth appropriately. However, CSE at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is not so secure considering the programming prospects and study culture that the student will get at IIITA.
