Question Answer

Ques. How is chandigarh university for btech cse?

● Top Answer By Madhav Aneja on 31 Mar 23

Ans. I am here to give you a very honest opinion based on my brother's experience at Chandigarh University. The university does everything but imparts good quality education and is more like a money-making machine. The points below will clarify my point further  The faculty pool comprises ignorant professors who are just Master graduates from CU itself. All their lectures are copy paste material and the classes are extremely monotonous with no dynamic or practical approach at all. These professors have no area of expertise and teach different subjects in different semesters There are illogical restrictions and very tight schedules. You don’t get to roam even after classes are over and if you don’t reach the block by 9 30 am, you will find it closed. The syllabus is exhaustive and chaotic comprising so many irrelevant theoretical subjects making students rote learners with minimal understanding of concepts No additional skills like coding, data analysis, and programming are taught. Everything is taught with a theoretical approach with no hands on experience. A huge number of assignments and projects are assigned meant to be completed within a week leaving no time for additional activities or studies. There are attendance policies requiring you to maintain 75% attendance with strict reprimands like debarring The college is not exactly located in Chandigarh but in the outskirts in a village area with no transport facilities. The hostel and mess facilities are appalling No doubt, the college has a lot of companies coming for placements but the scenario for that isn’t very different. So, I will recommend you to go for any other engineering college after proper research.Read more

Ques. Which college is better Chandigarh University or CGC Landran for engineering in CSE?

● Top Answer By Anubhuti Shekhar on 15 Nov 22

Ans. CGC Landran is an older college with a better reputation than Chandigarh University simply because more people are aware of it. Whereas Chandigarh University is a newer institution with the same owner. However, there are some significant differences between CGC Landran and Chandigarh University - CGC Landran is a college affiliated with another university. This means that your DMCs, degree and other formalities will take some time. Whereas Chandigarh University is a deemed university, you can get all of these documents quickly. Because Chandigarh University is a university, they have the freedom to change its syllabus and rotate its subjects in response to industry demands, which CGC Landran does not have. Placements at CGC Landran and Chandigarh University are all the same because they all take place at the same time. Chandigarh University has a growing campus with 1 or 2 buildings being built every 6 months, whereas CGC Landran is a fully constructed campus. CU is also very developed now, with over 15 food joints and cafeterias, which is fantastic. You can decide for yourself by visiting both campuses. Teachers at CU are much better than teachers at CGC Landran because they are paid more. Because a university pays its teachers more than a college. And it goes without saying that the more you pay, the more you get. CGC is the location. Landran is in a small city near Chandigarh, and buses to Rajpura, Patiala, Sirhind, and Kharar are not readily available due to the longer time intervals between them. CU, on the other hand, is directly on the Chandigarh-Ludhiana national highway, with a bus leaving every 10 minutes for either Chandigarh or Ludhiana. For Patiala students, CU is closer to Patiala than CGC, even though CGC is closer in distance. Overall, they are similar institutions, but the distinction between a college and a university cannot be overlooked. If you can, go for CGC; if you can't, CU is the better option.Read more

Ques. How is the Chandigarh University for engineering?

● Top Answer By Vishakha Singh on 04 Oct 21

Ans. Chandigarh University is one of North India's most prestigious universities. This university has risen to prominence in the field of education in recent years, becoming the region's fastest-growing institution. A lot of my friends studied here. Chandigarh University provides a high level of education like IITs and NITs.  Every semester, Chandigarh University offers Project Based Learning, in which each student is required to create a working project from among the semester's subjects.  The teachers are highly experienced.  CU offers a lot of exposure to the industry's most recent ongoing trends. The administration of CU works hard to maintain the university's standard through the Student Exchange Program with international universities.  Chandigarh University has a wide range of streams.  Students can join a variety of societies at university based on their interests.  There are numerous activities taking place at the university on a daily basis.  Hostels are fantastic, as are the sports facilities.  All labs and workshops are well-equipped and well-kept. The curriculum is revised in response to industry feedback almost every year.  In your final year, you will have the opportunity to work on very good live projects. Categories Chandigarh University Course Fee 8.44 lakh Highest CTC 22 LPA Average CTC 8-10 LPA Placements at Chandigarh University are also competitive when compared to other universities. Every year, Yahoo, Amazon, Google, Flipkart, Deloitte, and other companies visit the campus. So overall choosing CU wont be a bad choice.Read more

Ques. Which is better, the SRM main campus or Chandigarh University for CSE or IT? Also, what is the procedure to enter these colleges?

● Top Answer By Pranjal Sapra on 04 Apr 24

Ans. Chandigarh University is one of the top private universities in North India whereas SRM University (Main Campus - KTR, Chennai) is a renowned university in Southern India.  Both universities offer CSE and IT degrees that have good ROI. The choice among these two universities depends on various factors like location, fees, placements, faculty, exposure, etc.  Fees: The annual fee for CSE at Chandigarh University is INR 2,71,400 whereas the per year fee for CSE at SRM University is INR 4,75,000 which is a huge difference. So, if you are someone who cannot afford to pay such a huge amount every six months then go for Chandigarh University. Placements: A B.Tech CSE Information Security student of Chandigarh University grabbed the highest package of INR 1.7 CPA in a US-based company and the national highest package of CU is INR 54.75 LPA whereas the highest salary of SRM University is INR 52 LPA. Both universities have tie-ups with big organizations like Microsoft, IBM, EY, etc. However, the percentage of students placed in a particular branch is higher in SRM Chennai.  Faculty: The faculty of SRM University Chennai is better for CSE or IT as they are well-qualified in their respective fields. The university also organizes guest lectures, practicals, competitions, etc for the academic development of students. Social Life: SRM IST Chennai has various clubs for students to participate in such as Rotaract Club, NSS, NCC, Astrophilia, Fashion, Music, Literature Club, Festival, Dance Club, etc. On the other hand, Chandigarh University also has a vibrant campus life as many famous personalities visit the campus.  To take admission to SRM University's main campus for CSE or IT, students should attempt SRMJEE and qualify with the cutoff prescribed. The application fee for SRMJEEE is INR 1200. Candidates have to apply on the official website. The process of applying to Chandigarh University is quite simple. Students must register for CUCET through the official website by paying an application fee of INR 1,000. Once the results are out and you meet the minimum cutoff criteria which is usually 30%, the admission team will contact you for further details. Read more
