Ans. VIT, SRM, Amity, Amrita, LPU, KIIT and MAHE are all good universities. As a BTech CSE Student at LPU, I can share a personal account. LPU has ranked amongst the Top 50 in the NIRF Engineering Rankings. The B.Tech CSE course is one of the top UG Engineering courses offered by LPU. The course curriculum is updated and well-structured. It meets the global industrial needs, and is taught by a good faculty. The teaching staff is knowledgeable and guided us well. It competes with top Indian as well as International universities.  Apart from the above mentioned, some of the other points as a student of LPU, why BTech CSE is a good option here, are listed below. LPU has tie ups with various universities and organizations. It has really good labs with the updated softwares to provide students with the necessary practical exposure alongside their theory. Students also get access to online study material such as research journals, annual reports, and other business dissertations for their projects. The placement record and the right mix of curricular and extracurricular activities makes LPU a preferred university. The highest salary package offered often goes up to 40 LPA and above. Ans. I am a second year B.Tech CSE student at LPU. Here is the official data for 2023 B.Tech CSE placements at the university- The  average package  for B.Tech CSE/IT was  INR 7 LPA  in 2023.  The 2023 branch/course-wise highest package is not available, but the  overall highest package was INR  54.75 LPA. During the 2023 placements, a  B.Tech CSE  student received a job offer of  INR 52.08 LPA from Microsoft. Here is a list of top recruiters and the CTC offered by them during 2023 B.Tech CSE placements at LPU- Company Name CTC offered Role Arcesium 40 LPA - Texas Instruments 32 LPA - UKG 32 LPA Software engineer Infineon 24-25 LPA - Natwest 16 LPA Software engineer Finxera 16 LPA Associate java/nodejs These were the B.Tech CSE placement highlights for LPU. Ans. I did my BTech CSE from Galgotias University, but I will put forth an unbiased opinion.  Here are some factors to compare the two universities- LPU has good facilities and infrastructure, but I would suggest you opt for Galgotias since it will offer you better opportunities and academics. Fees-  The tuition fee for B.Tech CSE at Galgotias is  INR 1.54 lakh per annum . The exam fee is  INR 15,000 per annum .  At LPU, the BTech CSE course fee is  INR 1.40 lakh per semester . The exam fee is  INR 4,500 per semester . But LPU offers various scholarships to meritorious students. Getting decent grades is also comparatively easier at Galgotias. Ques. Which gives better placement in cse, LPU or KIIT?

Ans. Both KIIT and LPU are considered as top private universities for engineering. But I can only speak in favour of LPU as I have done my education at LPU. I interacted with my friends at LPU who have done their BTech CSE. More than 500+ recruiters visit the campus for placements every year. BTech CSE placements at LPU recorded INR 42 lakhs as the highest salary package. Additionally, LPU had 110+ recruiters from top colleges like IITs, IIMs, and NITs. The highest monthly stipend for any kind of internship at LPU is around 80k. Tanya Arora, a final year BTech CSE student secured INR 42 lakh job offer from Microsoft. Amazon also offered INR 28 lakhs package. Utkarsh secured a position at Google HQ in Silicon Valley with a package of INR 1 crore.  This I hope proves my point that LPU is better for CSE than KIIT.Read more

Ans. I am here to give you a very honest opinion based on my brother's experience at Chandigarh University. The university does everything but imparts good quality education and is more like a money-making machine. The points below will clarify my point further  The faculty pool comprises ignorant professors who are just Master graduates from CU itself. All their lectures are copy paste material and the classes are extremely monotonous with no dynamic or practical approach at all. These professors have no area of expertise and teach different subjects in different semesters There are illogical restrictions and very tight schedules. You don’t get to roam even after classes are over and if you don’t reach the block by 9 30 am, you will find it closed. The syllabus is exhaustive and chaotic comprising so many irrelevant theoretical subjects making students rote learners with minimal understanding of concepts No additional skills like coding, data analysis, and programming are taught. Everything is taught with a theoretical approach with no hands on experience. A huge number of assignments and projects are assigned meant to be completed within a week leaving no time for additional activities or studies. There are attendance policies requiring you to maintain 75% attendance with strict reprimands like debarring The college is not exactly located in Chandigarh but in the outskirts in a village area with no transport facilities. The hostel and mess facilities are appalling No doubt, the college has a lot of companies coming for placements but the scenario for that isn’t very different. So, I will recommend you to go for any other engineering college after proper research.Read more

Ans. CGC Landran is an older college with a better reputation than Chandigarh University simply because more people are aware of it. Whereas Chandigarh University is a newer institution with the same owner. However, there are some significant differences between CGC Landran and Chandigarh University - CGC Landran is a college affiliated with another university. This means that your DMCs, degree and other formalities will take some time. Whereas Chandigarh University is a deemed university, you can get all of these documents quickly. Because Chandigarh University is a university, they have the freedom to change its syllabus and rotate its subjects in response to industry demands, which CGC Landran does not have. Placements at CGC Landran and Chandigarh University are all the same because they all take place at the same time. Chandigarh University has a growing campus with 1 or 2 buildings being built every 6 months, whereas CGC Landran is a fully constructed campus. CU is also very developed now, with over 15 food joints and cafeterias, which is fantastic. You can decide for yourself by visiting both campuses. Teachers at CU are much better than teachers at CGC Landran because they are paid more. Because a university pays its teachers more than a college. And it goes without saying that the more you pay, the more you get. CGC is the location. Landran is in a small city near Chandigarh, and buses to Rajpura, Patiala, Sirhind, and Kharar are not readily available due to the longer time intervals between them. CU, on the other hand, is directly on the Chandigarh-Ludhiana national highway, with a bus leaving every 10 minutes for either Chandigarh or Ludhiana. For Patiala students, CU is closer to Patiala than CGC, even though CGC is closer in distance. Overall, they are similar institutions, but the distinction between a college and a university cannot be overlooked. If you can, go for CGC; if you can't, CU is the better option.Read more

The administration of CU works hard to maintain the university's standard through the Student Exchange Program with international universities.  Chandigarh University has a wide range of streams.  Students can join a variety of societies at university based on their interests.  There are numerous activities taking place at the university on a daily basis.  Hostels are fantastic, as are the sports facilities.  All labs and workshops are well-equipped and well-kept. The curriculum is revised in response to industry feedback almost every year.  In your final year, you will have the opportunity to work on very good live projects. Ans. Regarding infrastructure and facilities, Chandigarh University's average cannot be compared with LPU, SRM, or any other big university. However, in terms of placements, CGC brings great happiness. The placement opportunities at CGC are pretty good, especially for software engineering. Many reputed companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Dell, IBM, Infosys, Cognizant, etc., visit the campus for recruitment. CGC is growing very fast and is becoming the number-one university in the northern region for software engineering. However, the number of students per stream is around 1400, which is quite a large number, making competition challenging. The teachers in the first year may need improvement, but after you go to your core branch in the second year, the staff is well experienced and quite good. CGC conducts various competitive fests and workshops. Additionally, they provide international internships with foreign universities in the USA, Canada, and more. CGC has also started the TPP program, which teaches students aptitude, C, C++, and communication skills, preparing them for technical interviews during placements. Overall, CGC is a good college, but attendance is a major issue. A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory to give the examination. Even if you get 74.4% , you will not be able to give your final exams. In case, you're thinking of doing B. Tech from Chandigarh, you should first give preference to Thapar, CCET, and PEC.Read more
