Department of Business Administration Tezpur University was founded in the year 1995. It works with a vision “to be a coveted knowledge hub of management education for creating socially responsible global citizens”. The institute is affiliated with Tezpur University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It has been ranked 98th by Business Today (BT) 2023 under Top B-Schools category. At present the Department is running Doctoral Program (Full time and Part time), Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Full time), Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management and the Department introduces Master of Tourism and Travel Management from Autumn 2016.

The admission is done through online mode. Interested and eligible candidates can submit the application form on the official website of the institute. To be eligible for admission to any of the programs, applicants should have a graduate degree in relevant discipline with not less than 50% marks from a recognized university or institute.

Candidates are selected on the basis of CAT/ MAT score. Based on their performance in the CAT/MAT, shortlisted applicants will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection is based on the overall performance of candidates.

CAT

Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national level online test which is conducted for admission to MBA program. As per CAT Eligibility, applicants should have a graduate degree. CAT Registration is done through online mode. CAT 2019 has been scheduled tentatively on November 24, 2019, by IIM Kozhikode. After the declaration of CAT Result, on the basis of their marks secured in CAT, applicants can apply for the MBA program in the Department of Business Administration Tezpur University.

MAT

MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is held for admissions to MBA/PGDM programs. It is a national level online / offline test which is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) four times a year (February, May, September, and December).
