Location was great near to Dehradun and transportation was easy for us
In campus I have made very good connections, great learning was there, and exposure
There was 1:1 interaction with the teachers about anything and seniors were very helpful

Dislikes

Infrastructure , we were in temporary campus
Connectivity was missing because hostels were far from the campus
campus size was very small, and was nearer to the Yamuna river

Admission:

IIM Kashipur , IIM Vishakhapatnum, IIM Jammu and IIT Guwhati , and I got selected in IIM Sirmaur and IIT Guwhati and rest of other colleges i was waitlisted. and got recected from IIFT delhi and TISS Mumbai

I liked the different experienced faculty we had.
The new campus is amazing woth a lot of facilities.
Diveristy of students is good leading to more experiences

Dislikes

Food is not good in mess and not many options to order
It is secluded and far from any major city.

Admission:

The biggest motivation to join the college was its less fee structure and the fact that it was an IIM. My decision was also finalized once we had a meeting with our director sir. The curriculum is also very good.

Likes

The culture was very amicable, all my batchmates very friendly and helpful.
Professors were very laidback and down to earth, and very easily approachable.
The campus was located in foothills of Himalays, so people who love nature it's an added advantage.

Dislikes

Weather- For people not used to Himalayan winters.
All the communities are student run, so they don't regulated as often and there is politics.
Bit remote for people who are used to urban life.

Admission:

I chose this college because of the primal fact that it was Indian Institute of Management and for the placement it provides. I was selected for every colleges under CAP, And I did not clear the cutoff for the other campus.

Journey at IIM Sirmaur

Likes

The faculty at Indian institute of management is really good
The institute has now have a permanent campus, which is huge
The campus is situated in the mountains of Himalayas which is very picturesque.

Dislikes

At my time, there was no permanent campus. Although they have it now.
The city is not well developed, so you might have to travel a bit to get things.
The real himalaya mountains are close to 70km if you want to enjoy snow.

Admission:

I chose this college because of the location, i also cleared 4 other IIMs but was excited to join himalayan iim. The admission process involved, aptitude test which is CAT. And after clearing the cutoff there was personal interview.

Life at IIM Sirmaur

Likes

The faculty is quite knowledgeable and learned. Practical aspects of subjects are taught.
The infrastructure of the Institute is very good. Campus has all the necessary amenities required like library, smart classrooms, hostels, mess etc.
The placement committe is very supportive and cooperative. The placement process is smooth.

Admission:

The admission is offered in an MBA in IIM Sirmaur is through CAT Exam. The level of exam is moderate to difficult and is conducted once a year. The application fees is approx 1500 and the form is opened in the month of july-august.

The institute is doing fairly good in placements and improving each year
The institute has various clubs and committees which students can join. The clubs and committees are responsible for organizing various events and manage the institute

The first step is to register for CAT exam and attempt it. Once the sectional and overall cutoff is cleared, the next step is GDPI round which happens through CAP. The institute provides reservation as per government guidelines. After taking into several parameters like diversity, GDPI score, CAT score, etc the final list is released

IIM Sirmaur CAT Cutoff is 94 percentile for general category candidates. IIM Jammu Cutoff is 94 percentile for the general category candidates. IIM Visakhapatnam CAT Cutoff 2024 is 82 percentile for the general category. IIM Nagpur CAT Cutoff 2024 is 94 percentile for general category candidates. IIM Sambalpur CAT Cutoff 2024 is 94 percentile for general category candidates. IIM Amritsar Cutoff is around 88 percentile for the general category candidates. IIM admission 2024 follows a two-step process i.e. Analytical Writing Test (AWT) & Personal Interview (PI). However, IIMs do not release the CAT cutoffs in the public domain.
