Exploring and revealing the college life of OUTR.

Likes

I liked about this college is that it is the best for students within one lakh in jee main.

Dislikes

I don't like the teaching style of teachers.
I don't like the structure of syllabus provided by the university.

Admission:

I have secured 84,439 in jee main entrance examination.As per this rank,i was confused to choose OUTR or IIIT Bhubaneswar.But thereafter i researched about both colleges and finally decided to go outr bbsr as it is the best state government engineering University in odisha.

A Good University

Likes

The teachers are very much kind and helpful. All of them are highly qualified and down to earth. All of them like to live a bery simple life. The lab technicians are also very much helpful during lab sessions.
The canteen section is quite good. All students travel there and all stick thir own businesses. Nobody judges to anyone here.
The students study in the college are quite intelligent and open nature.

Dislikes

The college buildings should be improved. The bench are quite hard to sit and listen to lectures.
The college hostels also quite bad. Even the mess of 2 out of 3 hostel doesn't look so much hygenic.
The surrounding should little more calming. Not for the trees but for the cleanliness.

Admission:

First of all mainly because of the location it is situated. It is in the Captial Region. I got some seats in NIT-R but didn't go because the seats that i got is all 5 year course and i don't want to study for longer period of time. So the admission process is quite simple. You have to secure a goord rank either in JEE mains or OJEE examinations then apply for the desired branch of this college OJEE website.

Good college!! But needs your hustle to survive.

Likes

Male female ratio is pretty good from an state govt college point of view.
The campus is quite peaceful away from city especially in summer evenings.
Free high speed wifi internet service for students. It's good

Dislikes

Faculty should find more innovative way of teaching
Academic is very much hectic. Very less time for skill development activities.
The infrastructure is not upto the mark. The college lacks an auditorium as of now

Admission:

The other college I applied was VSSUT burla. Both cet and vssut being govt college. It seemed there's no difference between them. I chosed cet cause as it is my hometown and it's an urban area. Good for communication and exposure.

College of my dreams

Likes

I like the infrastructure, management system.
The faculty members are very knowledgeable.
The overall academic structure is impressive.

Dislikes

Gym is not there which is essential for physical fitness.
More cleanliness can be achieved by extra efforts.
Assignments project take most of the time of ours.

Admission:

I applied in other colleges like national institute of technology but the cutoff was very high. Yes this is the part of the admission process once you get in and once you get rejected. The admission process have several counselling rounds.

I appreciate that we have so many good professors who were like friends to us and they help us in many ways.
I appreciate that the classroom are too good.

Dislikes

I disliked that they are like taking so much time in making the auditorium.
I disliked that they are not even making the front gate.
I disliked that the canteen food is sometimes like smelling very bad.

I really like the facilities here. We jave college bus for pick up and drop. Then we have E library.
Palcement rate is high. We have quality services with independent website as well.
Curriculum is industry ready and helpful

Dislikes

I really don't like the infrastructure which is still under development.
Engagement inside campus is more of a personal based.
I really want new comers to showcase talent

The admission process is simple . Appear JEE . Score a better rank like near to 3 Lac then apply for seat allocation im OJEE . I apploed for IGIT Sarang and VSSUT Burla as well. But liked this seat with branch as it got in the 1st round itself

Likes

Things i like is the kind of food the hostel mess and the college canteen has .
Campus life is amazing . We have a SAC area which is a go-to hangout place. Placement rate is high.
My curriculum is quite interesting and approachable.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is still under development.
Management needs to be improved as per the smooth functioning of the curriculum is necessary.
Facilities should be more adequate and useful.

Admission:

I chose this only beacause of its location as Bhubaneswar is quite more exciting and happening place , I did not get rejected rather i chose this seat. I appeared for JEE mains which i cleared and aplied for OJEE councelling in which i got the CSe branch in the mock allotment and IT branch in the 1st around itself. I feel atleast 3 Lac rank is amust to reach OUTR

Likes

I really like the facilities here like college bus is there for pick up and drop then we E drive for rental purpose.
Teachers are strict as well as understanding. Placement rate is high. Hostels are spacious and free of any in time.
Social life is quite exciting as there are numerous clubs here as well as some societies .

Dislikes

I really dont like the management of classes and labs as they are not at all flexible.
Infrastructure is still under development. Campus is not that good looking or attractive.
Personal development is quite underrated just because of study pressure

Admission:

i did apply for IIiT and VSSUT but could not clear the cut off but i am happy as i accepted this seat in one of the best universities in ODISHA . So as of now the procedure is simple you should clear JEE mains cut off like for GEN 1 lac rank or 3 lac then fore reserved categories upto 5 l;ac then apply for seat councelling in which you will be alloted a seat .

Likes

I really like the kind of teaching methodologies teachers follow here . Especially they are precise to what they want from students and the kind of answers or projects.
I really enjoy my time in the Campus. Being around students with innovative minds. Placement rate is far high and that's really amazing.
Management is quite precise about the up comings of the curriculum. The courses are quite industry related and knowledgeful

Dislikes

I really do not like the management as they put a lot of pressure on attendance rather than merit.
Infrastructure is still under development. Campus is not too huge.
Social interactions have been quite restricted here or limited

Admission:

I could not clear cutoff for CSE in BURLA VSSUT but I am glad that I chose this college. Its placement way better than any other state college or university. No i was not rejected. Its aprocedure. First I attempted JEE mains then in the OJEE seat allotment rounds i got this seat. Minimum Cutoff could possibly be 3 lac rank this year

I like the classroom teaching as it is tge the most orthodox state college which has now turned into an autonomous university
Placement rate is quite high. Almost 90 percent students get placed every year.
Personal and Professional development has a scope here.

Dislikes

I feel there should more number of digitised labs and smart classrooms
Teachers should little linient and supportive so that students feel free to share doubts
Infrastructure is still under development. Overall the campus is nice .

Well i really prefer being in this college as it is one of the leading engineering institutes in Odisha . No i wasn't rejected rather i cos this in OJEE. First i appeared in JEE mains exams then scored a good rank then participated in OJEE councelling and got this
