Placement opportunities: the college is known to have a good placement record, with students securing placements in reputed companies.
They teach in a very good way and they help us to gain knowledge.
I chose amritha vishwa vidyapeetham because of its great atmosphere and the amazing scenery given from the mountains and the amazing faculty and infrastructure given at amritha, coimbatore and more accessible to me to go from every day

Dislikes

Hostel is also the worst, no attach bathrooms and bathrooms are also worst bad quality no maintenance.no a/c
The placement system from the last year is bad and they're blaming it on the recession
I chose this course because i like the course minimum qualification is mtech depending on the semester courses it is very difficult to pass the exams questions papers are very tough and we should work very hard during exams.

I love the greenery of my campus every where the trees are good

From 5th semester we are eligible for campus placement and google , amazon, ibm etc.. company came to us and highest package is 51 lpa nd less package is 6lpa I think 68percentagw or places and I should decide the plans

The infrastructure and the access of utilities to students
The curriculum is always up to date and the syllabus is updated regularly.
The knowledge and experience of the faculty is non-compete able to other reputed colleges. They are well experienced in their field of education

Dislikes

Students are supposed to wear uniform and no casual dresses are allowed except saturdays
Students have restriction to go out, need to apply a pass to go out prior 24 hours. only 3 passes are allowed per month including the ones to visit home.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in my college. 35 percent of the students got placed in good LPA. so far highest package was 59.6lakhs/ annum. the average placements are 7-12 LPA. Hyundai, DRDO, infosys, tcl

Amrita is okay as a last choice

Likes

Great Campus, very green and fresh. Helps feelings refreshed
Very good sports and gym facilities helping to maintain your health
Good amount of events so the students can have fun

Dislikes

No non veg in mess. The meals are not properly balanced nutritionally
Only 3 outpasses a month. College should not control the amount of out passes I want to taken
Uniform culture. It's a very old practice and should not be followed for adults in modern era. They expect us to act like adults when treating us like childrrn

Placement Experience:

5th sem we become eligible for college placements. The companies and other details I don't have much idea. Percentage as well but I think it's around 60 percent of who get placed. Offers are pretty low since the market is down

From 3 rd year 2 nd semester students are allowed for placement and internships. As of now I don't no about the packages and all but it is happening good .I hope that everyone will get the job because all are good students .

Great Academics, Peaceful Campus — But Not for the Free-Spirited

Honestly, what stood out to me the most about Amrita was how beautifully it blends academic excellence
The campus itself is stunning, especially Coimbatore. It feels peaceful and green, like a place where you’d actually want to spend years studying

Dislikes

The strict rules and regulations that made no sense.
Favouritism given to local students tamil and especially Malayali. Everyone else was treated very badly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Amrita because the curriculum felt updated and aligned with industry trends. For example, in Computer Science, we had Python from semester 1, AI and ML courses were introduced early As for exams, we had two internals and one end-of-semester exam per subject. Difficulty was moderate, nothing too surprising if you kept up with classes. The internals actually carried more weight (60–70%).

Amrita has a strong faculty base. It's faculty members are from IIT's and NIT's.
Students have access to numerous research and project opportunities.

Dislikes

Amrita is known for its strict discipline, which may not suit all students.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting in 6th Semester onwards.Top recruiting companies are Amazon ,HCL, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, etc. Highest package is Rs 56.95 LPA and average package is Rs 9.2 LPA. Around 75% students get placed. After getting B.Tech degree I am going to pursue my Post Graduation.

Life at My College

Likes

every department has experienced faculty, those who have graduated from IITs and hold PHDs
Campus was beautiful, very well maintained
Fees were low compared to other colleges making it affordable

Dislikes

food was better than most colleges but I feel the quality can be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took Aerospace Engineering so I took it without having any idea and the course curriculumn made me fall in love with the course over time. Every subject branched out to the different parts of the aerospace industry and really helped us gain theoretical knowledge. We had lab classes as well where we got hands on experience on different equipment.

A decent university

Likes

The best thing about this college is its environment. The trees are everywhere the campus is green
There are lots of lab facilities in this college so for the research purposes it is one of the best amongst the private colleges
I like the medical facilities also . They provide doctors 24/7 so if you ever fell sick doctors are available

Dislikes

The worst part about this college its food. The quality of the food is too bad . One will struggle with the food served here especially
The hostel is too old now. They are building new buildings but the ones old are too dark and feel’s like prison.
Other facilities like canteen, department store and salon need improvement. Nothing is available in the canteen not even Maggie.

From the seventh semester only we our placement journey starts. This year our placement was too good. Almost 80% in the civil department got placed which is huge and the average package was around 4.5 lakhs to 5 lakhs. Many big companies like L&T construction, shobha Construction and many others. The highest for the civil engineering is 7.5 lakhs.

Likes

The atmosphere around here was awesome the campus is green
The canteen and mess food were hygiene compared to other colleges
The staffs were very kind and knowledgeable

Dislikes

The canteen is overrated and the price is also high
The fees are too high that can be satisfied by the low range people

Amrita University offers good learning opportunities. It also has a decent placement record. According to the highlights of Amrita University Placements 2021, almost 95% of students got placement offers. The highest CTC offered was 56.95 LPA.

But the coursework is demanding. You are required to do projects each semester. So, you need to keep up with the coursework, otherwise, you can easily fall behind.

In terms of academics, Amrita University matches the IIT syllabus and course structure. The infrastructure and laboratories are in good condition. The college works closely with businesses and other educational institutions. Many academic activities are being carried out to ensure effective information exchange.

College life is the most interesting part. Amrita University's Coimbatore campus is one of the cleanest in India and spans 500 acres. Amrita is a very diverse campus and a great place to make new friends. There is no such constraint. Cell phones are not permitted in the classroom. However, after leaving the classroom, you can talk to your loved ones. A minimum attendance requirement of 80% must be met, or you must present sufficient justification for your absence.

Amrita provides free wifi that is typically 0.5Mbps fast. Aside from YouTube, Facebook, and a few other sites, most academic content is available. Everything else is restricted. Only nutritious vegetarian food is served. The menu is adequate for a South Indian restaurant. If you are a traveler, you will have enough vacation time in Amrita to visit all of India in two years. The resident warden must grant permission for the outing. Every time a girl needs an outing pass, she must submit a fax from her parents. You can earn millions if you plan on participating in and winning every cultural event that is held there. It is an excellent world-class platform for showcasing and honing your skills.

This academic year, Atlassian is the employer with the highest salary on offer to Amrita students, with a staggering 52 lakhs offered annually. Microsoft offered 43 lakhs per year in salary, while Cisco hired 27 students at a CTC of 29.18 lakhs per year.
