NIT Sikkim Gallery

In First year, students has to stay outside the campus area. Campus area is 13 acres right now of temporary campus. Permanent campus area is going to be 120 acres . Right now in temporary campus, there is no such big halls and classroom, there is no such big labs which used to be in IITs and nits. There is a small badminton court here, a basketball court, football ground, and a small area for table tennis. That's all right now in name of sports here.

Taking about the overall experince with the campus life then they are lacking in facility, in space in maintainaince in discipline all these things the club was not supportive teacher not initiative for the club

Overall exeperience was fine as NIT sikkim is located at a place where tourists suppose to visit , there are so many places around the campus where you can enjoy on weekends with friends and family as well. NIT Sikkim host Udgam which is annual cultural fest and Abhiyantran which is annual tech fest. Every classroom is well equipped with the smartboards and smart classrooms with projectors as well. Interms of sports facilities we have seperate vollyball, basketball , kho-kho, fotball ground in the campus itself, Badminton is also there which is used by students and faculties as well. NIT Sikkim conducts annual sports fest every year and also encourage students to participate in annual sports fest of some other IITs/NITs across the country. Some of the student run clubs are Cultural club, Departmental clubs like yantrika, anuvrat etc

Overall experience in campus life was good actually totally good because here in hostel you will get to many friends and club of NIT Sikkim are great at all totally excellent experience I would suggest everyone to come here

The infrastructure is not satisfactory as in one room consist of 5 people due to less space available. There are so many clubs and societies which enhanced our other skills like social and communication skills.

The sport facilities are here quite good. There is a quite big cricket ground according to hilly region. But I would say it is quite small. Our college lacked in sports items but after formation of sports committee the problem got resolved.

Campus life is vibrant but the infrastructure and adminstration is not that good some teachers are good in there field but some are worst in teaching For sports equipments are not provided by the college and students run clubs are there which organises many events in the college

We celebrate cultural fest named as Udgam in our college and technical fest as Abhiyantran. Udgam is celebrated in the month of August and Abhiyatran in the month of September. Every books are available in the library but the place is very small there should be big space so that students can go there and study peacefully. Computer lab, digital classroom, laboratories. There should be sports every Saturday so that students can relax from there daily hectic routine. In our college boys have common room where they can play and relax but girls don't it's not good girls was wants the same facility. Some social groups like theregnetink (The Regnent Ink-literary cloud of NIT Sikkim) Anuvrat (Electronics and Communication Engineering Club)

We have 2 fests, one cultural fest named UDGAM and one technical fest named ABHIYANTRAN. many celebrities come for concerts and many events are also held where students enjoy a lot. We have a library where there are all course books available and in enough number. There are also certain books for GATE and other exams to refer. We also have a online library where many journals and magazines are available to read online. All classrooms have smartboards or projectors but being a temporary campus it is not that well developed. There is also an annual sports held for 3 days where various indoor and outdoor activities are held. Some students also go to other NITs for Inter NITthe sports. There are many clubs, most active is the literary club,i.e, The regnant ink and various departmental clubs suc as Anuvrat(ECE) , DevCANs(cse) , Yantrika(Mechanical),etc. Students can also joint cells of institute such as Web Development cell, E and I cell, T and P cell ,etc.

There are many clubs in the institute. Clubs teach us how to organise a event, and how to speak, they work on communication skills. Seniors are very friendly, they help their juniors learn new things.. They provide a platform to learn skills.
