Keeping the ROI in mind, and in terms of placement, alumni network, etc B.tech CSE is the best branch amongst all at IIT KGP, however if you are getting admission to any other branch too during counselling, you can opt for branch change which will depend on your CG in the first year and also the availability of seats in the target branch.
