Mangalore University Admission 2027 is mainly for postgraduate study at its Mangalagangothri campus, 20 km from Mangaluru city. The campus has 26 departments that teach 44 PG programmes. It also offers the B.P.Ed, PG diplomas, certificate courses and the Ph.D. The constituent University College in Hampankatta teaches the evening MBA in International Business and a few short courses. You apply for most programmes on the state UUCMS portal. Seats go on your degree marks, and some programmes add an entrance test. Regular MBA and MCA seats are given by the Karnataka Examinations Authority through PGCET. Each department fills its Ph.D seats through a test and an interview. Every list is put up on mangaloreuniversity.ac.in, and no letter is sent to you.
M.Sc is the biggest PG degree at Mangalore University. There are 23 M.Sc courses with 753 seats in all. Mathematics has the most seats with 55, followed by Chemistry with 54 and Physics with 43. Each course has general seats and a smaller number of partly self-funded seats at a higher fee.
You need a three year B.Sc with the subject of your M.Sc course. Most courses ask for 45% marks in that subject, or 40% if you are SC, ST or Category I. Medical Physics asks for 65% in Physics. Some courses also accept B.E or B.Tech graduates on extra conditions, so check your course in the e-Prospectus.
