NLU RANCHI review

Likes

I like the most about my college is interactive faculty and also the cleanliness of the university with a lots of space it is safe
Second thing I like the most is reasonable fees as compare to others NLUs as over the past few years they haven't increase the fees

Dislikes

Sometimes I don't the food because many of the times we found insects in the food.

Placement Experience:

Placement level of our college is good they are trying hard in it and yes they are improving minimum goes upto 8lakh and maximum was 15 lakh and many students getting ppos with 20-22lakh package out of 120 batch 50-60 students are getting placed. After the degree I will prepare for PCSJ many students have qualified the judiciary exam from our university.

Experience at NUSRL, Ranchi

Campus is full of greenery. This is one of the best parts and the area is huge so a major recreational part is the multiple walks around the campus . Its quite far from the main city so you can stay peacefully away from the city buzz and have peace
Although surely there will be pressure but its not extremely stressful . You can still have time to chill and stay free. Not everyone is too much competitive so one can find some people who will be ready to help you and would help you sort out things
Another good part is the weather . Compared with other cities in ranchi you would not face that scorching summer heat. Just for one to two months you will face the heat . Rest of the time the weather remains very moderate so you can stay without acs

Dislikes

One major problem is no proper maintenence of the campus. The campus needs to be maintained as it has a large area. But it is not done . Problem of insects and snakes exist due to this. Infrastructure is very limited and its needs development

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell present in our university. To be honest the placements are not extremely good but you can expect a decent one with average package of 5 to 6 lakhs . The highest package goes around 15 to 16 lakhs which mostly secured by the candidates through ppos. Although the placement cell is being improved . So in coming years the placements will become better. Tier 1 firms directly don't participate in campus placements so if you want to join you have to get it by yourself otherwise through campus placement you can hope to get a decent one .

University provide a exceptional campus life with all the facilities a student can expect.

Dislikes

Few faculties are not trained to teach in a NLU

Placement Experience:

Semester 10 students are eligible to sit in placement drives conducted by the placement drive Firms like SAM, CAM, Spice route legal comes for placment 50-60% sudents are placed every year My plan is to work in corporate law firm for 1-2 year and afer that independent practice at Jharkhand High Court

The vegetation/forestry which gives fresh air and good vibes every morning.
The safety measures like streetlights in the night
faculties and their method of teaching which is great.

Dislikes

timing of the classes which is from 9 am to 5 pm
monopoly of Nescafé and the hike in prices
Wi-Fi and the network are so poor inside the hostel or campus

Placement Experience:

From 9th semester student become eligible for campus placements, and the their are a buffer amount of offers are made as per students excellence and GPA and also they provide mininum of 50,000 and maximum as per the company. A student with 80-90% having the chance to get placements. I'm not looking for any placement rathe than that I'll take the judiciary exam.

I like the environment where the campus is situated.I like the library and some of the professor who is very helpful to students and always ready to help students in any manner
Seniors are way more approachable for helping in academics and for guidance

Dislikes

It's more expensive to study here , middle class family face many problems.campus is situated in outskirts of city which is a demerits.there is problem in transportation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this field to get a job with legal background. every college has a minimum of 120 students of total of per year. faculties are well versed with the subject and know the depth of the subject. Sometimes it's hectic to pass the exam as you get to make a research project which should be original in all subjects no plagiarism should be there, viva and then the exam which has no gap in between and the syllabus is vast.

Remarks:

Talking about the positive side, the college provides good education and it is the most prestigious law University in Jharkhand. The college has a huge campus spread in 67 acres located few kilometres away from the city.
