My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.

Dislikes

The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

MSC Chemistry IIT Delhi

Likes

Environment of the campus is extremely good. Hostel Life is best in IIT Delhi.
Rendezvous- The Cultural Fest of IIT Delhi is just amazing. Lots of events are organized
Lots of facilities are ther IIT Delhi. Infrastructure is good

Dislikes

Teachers are average. (Some of them are exceptionally good)
Coursework is little bit hectic in the first year. In second year, there is project work also
My project was on NMR and NMR machine used to get malfunctioned frequently.

Placement Experience:

For my course i.e Msc Chemistry, placements are not that much good. Mostly Edtech companies like Allen, FIITJEE, PW, etc come for the placements. Some years, good number of companies come, while some years only a few comes. Average package is 6-8 LPA

Likes

Sports facility and Library were will maintained.
Staffs were very friendly with students.
Infrastructure and professors were very impressive.

Dislikes

Hostel facility did not feel good for boys.
Placement which is given by the University were worse.
High chances of ragging to new students.

Placement Experience:

The median package offered to PG candidates was Indian Rupee 12.5 lpa. Some of the top companies participate in its placement drive. The professor may also recommend students for the internship and placement they will give training for the placement also.

Interdisciplinary Exposure

Likes

Professors are experts in their own fields.
Also since ours is humanities department professors are compassionate and understanding.
Infrastructure of classrooms is good. Girls boys ratio is almost 50-50.

Dislikes

Laboratory space is very less. Equipments are there.
More hands on experience is needed with tools like EEG, eye tracker etc.
Hostel and mess charges are too much. I wish they were less.

Students are eligible for placements in their second year of MSc course. From Cognitive Science most people go into non-core jobs such analyst, UI/UX roles. 30-40% students get placed. Many also go for PhD. I will most likely go for PhD.

The brief knowledge of iitian in msc course

Likes

The innfra. of university is very good and greenery all over campus
The professor are helpful when you tell them about you doubts and tutorial session for question practice .
The sports facilites are very best if you wnt to play some kind of sports like cricket and bad.

Dislikes

The coursework is very hactic here there is very difficult to enjoy personal time.
The hospital is very bad they refers to another hospital outside the campus for small health issues.
The social connectivies is very less here because everyone is doing own.

The physics is always related to real world problems but here is no core computational course so it is bad thing. Frequency of exam is very high in 4 months our course going to end so you have to be aware about all such things.

Review of IITD for PG Courses

Faculty support is phenomenal as they provide a friendly space where hesitation vanish and one can easily ask his/her queries without any issues. Due to so many clubs and societies the hesitation between students vanish and builds strong social bonds
Infrastructure is good, Swimming pool, Gym, Badminton court, Basketball court, Tennis Court, Cricket Academy , Football Academy was there. So yeah value for money.
OCS the placement cell is here which provides regular updates over internship and jobs in the campus. Also the Outreach Dean is here for providing upcoming foreign internships details.

Dislikes

Course Curriculum is somehow hectic which gives mental stress sometimes but can be neglected through participating in different clubs etc.
Mess food is average in almost every hostel so yeah little compromise over food quality.
Not all hostels have their private grounds for the Hostelers. Like there's a common place for all and some hostels have their own grounds where they organise their events also.

Placement Experience:

Average package of My Course that is MSc Chemistry is around 18 LPa and maximum is 24LPa which one of my super senior got. Overall placement is good . IIT Delhi has its own OCS placement cell which is there for you to help you in your CV building and in improving interview skills. For Sitting in placement drive one should cross a minimum of 7.5 Cgpa . Those who are in 4th semester are eligible to sit in placement drive

Fulfilling experience at IITD.

Likes

The course structure as it is research based, professors are friendly, highly learned and approachable. Fosters growth.
Campus Life is beyond words. It's like a small planned city within delhi that helps you to become independent, responsible and at the same time fun
The events that takes place in the campus, the conferences, etc

Dislikes

There are no washrooms outside the hostels, so some people, especially girls may find it inconvenient, need more washrooms.
Sometimes the environment gets very stressful due to pressures like two exams in a day and so on

Placement Experience:

Internships are offered after sem 1. And placement scenario is good, with good packages. Big companies like JP MORGAN, HCL, FIITJEE, GOOGLE, TCS, IPAC, etc. highest package for our course was 37 lakhs/ annum. And minimum was 11 lakh. More than 80% gets placed. My plan is to pursue PhD

IIT DELHI - my experience

Likes

Profs - most of them are approachable and humble. Though we come across few rude ones
Course content is carefully prepared. Most of the courses have coursework sufficient for a thorough understanding.
Different clubs are there for people who are into arts and sports.

Dislikes

Library, didn't have many books.. Wasn't that big also

Placement Experience:

Placements are Good but I would tell that most of them are from IT field. One who has a skillful knowledge in a computer language can easily find a placement. Data analytics is a field wherein highly paid jobs are offered in placements

Chemistry in IIT Delhi

Likes

Hostel life is best. You can enjoy many DJ nights and specially lunch/dinner during festivals.
So many things to explore in the campus, so many departments, so many events, many celebrities come.

Dislikes

Low placements and less number of companies coming to college.
College is focusing mainly on research. They want you to do PhD after MSc
Labs are a bit hectic. Second year is more hectic due to project work.

Placement Experience:

You are eligible for internships during your first year itself and for the placements in the second year only. Last year comparatively many Edtech companies came. This year the number was comparatively less. Highest ever package is around 15 lacs per annum. Depend on the number of companies visiting, it decides the number of students getting placed. I am looking for government job after the degree.

I liked they are providing a single room to me.
I liked the music program in different fest organised by them.
I liked the quality of library they are providing to the students.

Dislikes

They are not providing single room to all students. Mostly girls do not have single rooms.
I disliked every classmates of my class. They have very low IQ and and narrow minded.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements in the last semester. Primal Group, Allen Career Institute, Akash Institute, etc a lot of companies came for placement. This is a time of recession. So, very few students get placements. My plan is to join the coaching industry as a teacher after my degree.

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. The hostels of IIT Delhi are facilitated with a mess, washing machines, and drinking water supply on each floor. Here are some pictures of the IIT Delhi hostel rooms-
