ELFLU Hyderabad has decided to conduct its UG admissions through CUET 2024 Exam. The CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted between May 15 and May 31, 2024. EFLU B.A & B.Ed Admission 2024

The B.Ed programme has a participatory approach that requires the participants to take part in cultural activities, co-curricular activities, and developing teaching aids. The duration of the BA programmes is 3 years whereas specialized Teacher Trainer Programme of B.Ed is a 2-year course.

The post graduate programmes follow a unique system which allows student to choose their courses of interest in a wide array of areas to select from, such as, literature, linguistics and English Language Education. The MA programme has three variants of which students can opt from Specialized MA, Bracketed MA, and General MA.

The five areas of specialization for the courses offered are Teaching of English as Second Language (TESL), Media and Communication (M&C), Linguistics (Ling.), English Literature (Eng. Lit.) and Literary and Cultural Studies (LCS).

For these courses, candidate is required to request for an application for to the The Dean, School of Distance Education, The English and Foreign Languages University, Near Tarnaka, Hyderabad 500 007? and also enclose a crossed D.D. for INR 500/- (INR 250/- for SC/ST) which should be drawn in favour of “the Registrar, EFL University, Hyderabad 500 007”.

EFLU Application Process 2024

The application form can be downloaded from the university website. These must be submitted via compulsory online mode. The cost of application form for General/OBC candidates is INR 500/- whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories should pay INR 250/- .

Candidate is required to visit the University website. The mode of filling application is online.
The online version of prospectus has all the related information regarding the courses offered by the University. He/she must go through the information carefully and fill in the application form accordingly.
Candidate must have a valid email id which should also be active during the time of the completion of the admission procedure.
He/she can only apply for two full time courses in one academic year. While applying for two courses, the candidate is required to fill in a single form and mention the names pay the entrance fee for both the programmes.
He/she is required to pay a non-refundable entrance test fee of INR 350/- through any mode of online payment for General/OBC/WDP candidates whereas INR 150/- in the case of SC/ST/PWD candidates.

As the name suggests, the EFL University focuses entirely on the study of English and foreign languages(asian, european, etc.), so my preference for this University is supported by the fact that the courses and syllabus of study allows me to conduct in-depth learning of whichever course I am admitted into (be it foreign language, literature, language teaching, Linguistics, etc). Sure, other colleges also have well established departments but I just feel like English learning is broader and more enjoyable at EFLU considering it’s prestige. Apart from EFLU, i applied to DU, NEHU, JNU, Pondicherry Uni, Mount Carmel, Madras University, Ambedkar University Delhi, and Loyola College, Chennai. Out of these i was short listed to Pondicherry University and DU. I had to write entrance exams/online interviews for Mount Carmel, Madras Uni and Loyola. However, I did not proceed with those interviews because EFLU amnounced their shortlisted candidates earlier on. Admission process: For admission, one must appear the CUET according to the requirements of the course you are interested to apply to. After which you apply through an online application posted in the university website with your CUET score. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CUET score plus on merit basis. The cutoff score for General category might be around 250+ but it depends on that year’s general performance score. Minorities may get through with a score within 80-200.

Admission:

I chose the English and Foreign Languages University because of the comprehensive cheril it has for the program I chose. The admission process was very smooth and hassle free though it took a lot of time to get things done. We have to be in campus for physical verification after being selected. I applied to certain colleges in DU, but considering the fact that EFLU was more affordable and also had a more holistic approach, I decided to come here instead.

I wanted to learn German language and for Foreign Languages, this University stands second after JNU. Besides this, this University is a Central University. I also had got German in JNU but my Seniors suggested to go for EFLU as it provides well surrounding for that.

Read before you Choose EFLU

Admission:

I applied for DU and BHU and I got selected there as well I just wanted to come here because this college is dedicated to languages. The admission process is followed by a counselling session here. This college is better from other colleges because it provides quality education for such a low price and accommodation and meal expenses are quite low.

I got in thru cuet and category reservations. You can fill the cuet exams for English and general tests both are required to be eligible for language course in EFLU. The exams aren't that difficult if you have a basic grasp of English and a little general knowledge .

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad is a central university dedicated to the study of English and other foreign languages.

Usually, the entrance test is held in late February or early March every year after submitting the online application form in early February.
Since this year has seen COVID-related disruptions, the dates have been pushed back and you need to follow their website for further notifications.
There are no other special criteria for the same.
The basic criteria can be seen from the institute website.

For every other year, it may have been late now, but for this year you need to keep an eye on the official notifications for the same.
