IGDTUW Admission FAQs
Ques. Is branch upgradation after the first year possible at IGDTUW?
Ans. Yes, changing branch after the first year is real, but hard. Only girls with very high CGPA, like 9 or more, get it because seats are limited and competition is tough. Serious students often switch from the normal branch to their favourite one, and it's all fair on marks, no favouritism, so the place feels straight and honest.
Ques. For students aiming for research, higher studies, or non-tech careers, does IGDTUW’s admission offer unique value?
Ans. Yes, IGDTUW is really useful if you dream of research, doing masters abroad, or even jobs outside pure tech. Teachers help a lot personally, you get money for projects, and special classes build your profile strongly for higher studies. Since it's only a girls' college, there are extra scholarships, student exchange trips, and programs just for women in tech.
Ques. What emerging student trends are visible in IGDTUW admissions and branch preferences?
Ans. Girls with nice ranks are choosing IGDTUW more for fresh branches like AI, ML, CSAI, or IT instead of old-style ones, since jobs want these skills. Lots of smart ones pick this over taking a weaker branch in DTU or NSUT. It proves the college keeps courses new and matching what companies need, so girls who join early get a big advantage in upcoming fields.
Ques. After securing admission via JAC Delhi, what strategic steps should freshers take in the first semester to truly maximise their IGDTUW journey?
Ans. After getting in with JAC, work super hard for a high CGPA (aim 9+) in the first semester to get better internships. Join tech groups, hackathons, and college events from the very beginning. Start practising coding, DSA, and other important stuff early because job prep becomes serious in the second year. Talk a lot to senior girls and alumni for advice and connections. Being girls-only makes networking easier.
