Entrance Preview

I cleared my EAMCET and secured 80/160 got 11263 rank. I choose CSE on my own interest to become a good programmer. Before I took this Branch i enquirer about every branch in B Tech. Finally choose this because i love maths, programming is much similar to maths. So i opt CSE.

Internships Opportunities

My college offers interns with in the campus to encourage to start ups by the students. They also provide interns in companies like IBM, TCS, Tech Mahendra, BHEL, many more. But they provide less stipend.

Placement Experience

My college offers Placements in companies like IBM, TCS, Tech Mahendra, BHEL many more. The average package is 3.5 L per annum. In 2013-14 total 407 students are placed. In 2014-15 total 440 students are placed in some of best companies.

College Events

The National Level Technical fest which take place in my college is PRAGNYA. More then 1500 students and Faculty participate in this fest every year. The Environmental fest which take place in my college is RUDO. Every year we celebrate with a new theme such as 'SAVE WATER' , 'GREEN NET' etc.The most prestigious event of my college is PULSE. The whole Hyderabad will wait till march to FEEL THE BEAT at GRIET.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Tuition fee in our college is Rs: 75,200/- per annum.The NBA fee for NBA accreditation courses is Rs: 3,000/- per annum. The library fee is Rs: 2500/- per annum. Bus fee is depends on the distance they have to travel.The maximum and minimum bus fee are Rs:28,500/- and Rs: 5,500 .

Fees and Financial Aid

The only scholarships offered is the State and central Govt scholarships.They are provided according to merit as well as community and income.

Alumni/Alumna

Interaction between Seniors and juniors is less dew to different timings. But they has a special bond that they are the students of GRIET. My college has many communities which are run by students like IEEE, Google student chapter, SME, Street Cause. They are very active to for an alumni network and student interactions.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted with in the college by my college Exam Cell. Their are internals and externals. Internals marks are given by our respective teachers. External marks are given by the people who came from outside the college.

The curriculum is not the best i would say There are many flaws in it Although the say the syllabus keeps changing but the changes are not that much The teaching method is also old school methods U can expect an exam every 1.5 months The difficulty is also high

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.
