- Curriculum and exposure: The syllbus felt compared to industry needs.we had very few hands on workshops on AI or cloud, so extra online courses were needed to stay relevant. No good canteen facilities is available. So struggling for food during lunch
- Administration and facilities : administrative processes like fee receipts and certificates were slow. Hostel food quality was average and sports facilities neede major upgrades for better student experience.In our department no illustrations lab is
- Placement gaps : core companies for mechanical or civil were limited on campus.most offers were it based, so non - cs branches had fewer placement opportunities and packages.while it placements were strong, core companies for other branches visit cam

Companies roles and stipend students become eligible for internships from 5th semester onwards for the 2022-2026 batch 15+ companies offered internships either on campus or through referalls. Cognizant offered software developer intern roles with 15000.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards provided they have 60% + aggregate with no standing arrears. Pre placement training starts in 5th semester with aptitude coding and soft skill

I was doing UG in VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Sciences my degree and branch is B.Sc Costume Design and fashion.The fees structure remained constant throughout the course with no yearly increase. 1st year tution fees : 25000 + Admission fees : 6000 + Application fees : 450 + Book fees : 4000 + semester exam fees depends upon the number of paper. total for complete 35450 + exam fee
Campus Life
Festivals and events : the annual cultural fest will held every march with dance music and fashion shows. the technical symposium happens in November each year most classrooms are smart classrooms with projectors

Faculty
Faculty, course structure and exams at VLB Janakiammal College of arts and sciences. Faculty insights : The faculty to student ratio in (Costume Design and Fashion department) was around 1:15, which made classes interactive. Most faculty were approachable and encouraged doubts after class hours or via whatsapp groups. The relationship was more mentor-student than strict hierarchy. I Really liked faculties of Costume Design and Fashion for their her deep subject knowledge in textiles and fashion. They connected theory with real-world system design and guided us in paper presentations. Excellent because they used visual examples and fashion contests to make concepts stick. All were the best faculties in my opinion due to their clarity and student support. There wasn't any faculty i actively disliked
Night Life
Timings and facilities the central library closes by 6 pm on weekdays and 5 pm on weekends howtel in time is 6 pm for girls and 8 pm for boys campus gates. The locality around college is generally safe till 10 pm due to shops and street lights.
