Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is same as majority of colleges in hyderabad as the college follows JNTUH regulations. The subjects are well connected to the current industry scenario. There is a midterm after a month into the semester, the second midterm towards the end of the semester, and within a couple of weeks the end semester exams also commence.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for placements from year 4. The companies that usually visit are TCS, Capgemini and MMC etc. The college supports students by providing both technical and non technical jobs and any other uncoventinal career support upon request. Students aspiring to pursue education abroad are also provided with guidance and support.
Fees and Financial Aid
EWS Fee is around 70k per year , with around 30k per year paid by the govt. SC and ST students also get scholarships. For ST, the fee is entirely sent to their bank account. The scholarship amounts for other categories will be directly sent to the college. Currently, there are issues with the scholarship amoung being released, the government is yet to release funds. In management the fee is around 150000 per year.
Campus Life
There are majorly four clubs in the college. There is sports club, literature club, horticulture club and cultural. Club. Each club takes cares of different student needs and collectively enrich the campus life. These clubs organize different events according to their own objectives and all the students are allowed to partake. There is also a college radio that is entirely run by students. We usually have atleast one event per semester where the entire college comes together. There are a few events that happen every year, without a hitch. There are also multiple cultural events, celebrating the culture and diversity. The most loved event is Dandiya night, the only night event that is open for everyone , and is organized around navratri time. Technical events are usually conducted once a semester.
Admission
I have secured admissions in a couple of colleges in other states. But this college seemed really accessible, with it's location, and the facilities. It gave me the comfort of living within the residential areas of the city, yet close enough to the IT sector.
Faculty
The college is affliated to JNTUH. So, all the exams are according to JNTU schedules and pattern. The college has recently gained autonomous state, which means all exams would now be conducted in the campus itself. There are two midterms and a final semester exam for each semester for theory subjects. For laboratory subjects, we have lab internals, and externals where the student is evaluated on practical knowledge and application. Marks are also assigned for regular class work, projects and assignments. The pass percentage is high. The faculty is also decent. Overall the classes and academic quality is decent.
Night Life
The college hours are till 3:30 p.m. only. There is no campus hostel. The students usually lounge around in the canteen, library and at various spots across the campus. Three is also small gymnasium that feels like a little residential park. It has only a couple of things, with very small area, but it's one of the most happening spots. There are also swings that hang from a huge tree. The students are often found relaxing here. The locality is good and safe at all the times. The college security is good.
